I really had a hard time with the crackle finish on the tote. I will be sure to get some Elmers glue before I attempt it again. But I think everything turned out really cute.

Cute, cute so cute! You’re so creative n I’m so thrilled that I found your channel cuz we both love the same thing. Really loved that idea of the cloth sunflower that you added to your wall pocket. Reminds me I’ve got to go to Joann’s to get some different color material to make some more cloth flowers. Everything really looked great. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟

I've found that simple school glue gives the best results for crackle

I agree!
By accident I discovered that painting over wallpaper paste creates crackle. I got paste on part of a skirting board, and, when painting over, crackles appeared when dry. A lot cheaper to use. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas and tips.

Thank you Renee! I will do that sometime.
When I've created cracking effect, I put the glue down in one direction and paint over the object while the glue has "just gotten a light dry film on the top" I never wait until it is fully dry. I've had the best results using this method. :)

Hi Sandy 🙋♀️I’ve been meaning to check out your channel. Great video, I loved it. The DIYs you made were all very primitive and beautiful! I wish I would have had the spray modge podge when I made my rusty safety pins but I didn’t, what a pain to paint them. I absolutely loved how the cutting board looked with everything attached. I just subscribed. Thanks for sharing ❤

Aww 🥰 thanks so much Sandy I appreciate that ❤️
You need to put the crackle on heavier and then use your heat tool...works great for me

On the tool box.. If you had gone in one direction with a good amount of paint on ypur bruah and not gone over it again in the opposite direction the magic would have happened. I have only used school glue and i get all different size cracks. The cracks go by the amount of glue you put on. Also you can dry it with your heat gun. I find ot makes better cracks then if i just let it dry. I hope you dont think I am being a know it all..I was just letting you know what works good for me.

That project gave me fits. I have never had that much trouble getting a crackle. I will make sure not to back stroke next time. I can always use little pointers on what to try. Thanks!
Great Video! What Brand wax are you using on this?

Thank you! It was DIY wax on the clear and Jolie for the black.
I think the small cracks is because you used chalk paint
maybe you should have followed directions and NOT gone over it so much
