DIY Pattern Holder Part 1

When you have a lot of patterns, keeping them all together can be a challenge. In this video I'll show you how to make a simple pattern holder box from cardboard. Hello Niler! I’m a new subscriber and I’ve been watching some of your older sewing videos, which have been very helpful as I am new to sewing. Can you please share in a video a diy way to keep my skirts and dresses from flying up on breezy days? Are there affordable dress weights that I can buy or make? I ALWAYS wear a slip & Spanx, but there is nothing remotely elegant about battling the wind in a dress! Thank you for all of your wonderful tips. Thank you for your nice comment, unfortunately, there isn't a "sewing" solution to keep your dress from blowing in the wind. There are, however, dress weights that you can buy and stick them under your dress to keep it from blowing. I'm not sure if they will work though. My mom saved patterns in cardboard boxes, years later they were full of mites, and had to be thrown away. Best to store in plastic airtight storage bags.

Thanks for your reply. I had an alteration shop for 12 years. All of my patterns were stored in cardboard storage bins. I had NO PROBLEMS with any insects whatsoever. I'm sorry your mom had that problem, but I'm so happy she has found a solution for "her". Kudos to your mom.
