I made this pvc ladder game today. I bought 3/4” pvc in 2’ sections at Lowe’s. I used a hand saw to cut the 8 one foot sections needed. Drilling a hole in the golf balls was more difficult. The drill bit smoked and I really had to press to push it through. Hot bits of rubber popped out. After painting the rungs and putting it together I tested my skills. I could only wrap the top rung, must practice!

Hey Deborah, sounds like you had a successful build aside from the golf balls! I wonder if you were using a dull bit or not because when I Drilled mine they were fairly easy to do so. Using the clamp really helps in keeping your hand and fingers always from those hot pieces and the drill bit for sure. Hope you enjoy the game though!

Penalty Box Woodshop the tip about the clamps to hold the golf balls was super helpful. Took the game down to a friends barn and showed them how to set it up. The two 12 year old boys started playing immediately. Thanks again - and as a non handy person this was simple to make. Will put new sharp drill bits on my list for Christmas. Never even thought thought that 50 year old bits would be dull...ha! Learned a lot from you. Have subscribed to you - please include more very basic tips for those of us who have no idea what we are doing but want to try 🤪

Great video as always. Thank you for detailed instructions on both the builds as well as the game play. I've been meaning to make a set of corn hole boards. The fire has been lit for that along with the golf game! Happy 4th! #stayhealthy #staysafe

Okay. How did you know this is going to be my next project? And did I see you using your left hand? One more thing. I made a corn hole set using a 6” hole saw once. The hole saw won.

What was the pocket hole setting on the jig and what size screws did you use for the frame to the 3/4" plywood?

Really like the natural look on those JP! How do you like that 6” Bosch? I have the 5” and like that but wonder how the 6” stacks up, other than the extra inch.

What kind of ply did you get? I made a board once and it had veneer on it and started chipping.

Your corn hole boards are heavy. We use 1/2” plywood and 1” boards. A lot lighter. Just my two cents. Also I bet your tops are very slick.

  • @PenaltyBoxWoodshop

Yea they are pretty heavy but I just liked the stability of the 3/4”. But, 1/2” may do just fine, I really don’t do these much so You probably know more than me on that. Tops are not that bad. Less slick than I thought they would be
