DIY Odor Neutralizer for Home, Boat, RV, Car, Basement, Garage, etc...

Easy DIY Odor Neutralizer.
This is an easy way to remove odors from somewhere that stinks.
House, basement, closet, boat, rv, car, truck, van, small childs room, small child, garage, etc.
This is something I do and it's worked well for me.
I use it and reuse it.
It's a stupid trick and simple, but it's effective and cheap.
Vinegar is some nifty stuff.
Comments, suggestions, questions, or advice is welcomed.
Just leave a comment or message, I do answer. :)

Holy cow! Let me tell you, our garage smells like ass from our two dogs.. and i bought all those charcoal odor absorbers and they never worked. I found a spare sponge, an old Tupperware, white vinegar, covered it with foil and put a bunch of holes in it. I placed it inside our garage and after an hour the SMELL IS GONE!! I couldn’t believe it!! Now I am not sure how long this will last but i dont mind refilling this every now and then! It’s super easy and all natural! Thank you for sharing! Now I can breath while doing our laundry because our washer and dryer is inside our garage.

10 MINUTES! 10 minutes is all it took to start noticing a difference in our 30ft rv. We bought a used rv a few months ago & the previous owner must've had like 20 huskies living in it with all the hair & the smell. I tried evrything you could think of to clean the smell out of it to no avail. I stumbled across this video last night & went out & bought the materials needed first thing this morning. It took maybe 10 minutes to start noticing a tremendous difference. I can't wait to see what an hour does. Thank you so much for sharing! You're a life saver!

Nice! Glad it’s working! The next step would be to use a 60 percent white vinegar 40 percent water mix and start wiping things down. Vinegar can be strong, be careful on painted surfaces though 😉

I use Apple Cider Vinegar in my cat litter room... I also dilute water and vinegar for spraying the litter box to cut down on the dust and freshen it. I also sprinkle baking soda in there. If someone doesn't like the vinegar smell they can try the Apple Cider vinegar...lol! It is pretty powerful! I just had it handy there so that is why I used it. I also keep a spray bottle in our bathroom to clean and air freshen as well as in the tub for no slip safety. It cuts the hair conditioner.

It’s good to learn how to neutralize odors, but don’t forget that these are also telltale signs that there might be something growing that you can’t see. If these measures don’t block out the smells, get an expert to check your area for mold and mildew that might be slowly taking over your space.

Vinegar was the cleaning solution (historically) prior to Chlorine Bleach. DO NOT MIX VINEGAR and BLEACH! Grandmother used Vinegar to clean windows. When I clean carpets, I don't use carpet soap, I use vinegar, and afterward rinse carpet with clear water and 10% isopropyl to reduce dry time. The 5% acid in the vinegar kills smells, and helps to lift stains. The reason I stay away from carpet soap: the residue from the soap attracts dirt, and the carpet gets dirty faster. -that's my method, more labor than most hired guys will spend. Your method may be different.

Since we use liquid soaps our hand soap dishes are not being used - even the travel soap holders would work. I also spray water and rubbing alcohol for air freshener, carpet and couch freshener and full strength on the mattress for mites and odor. I'm not sure it would work in a sponge. Shines appliances as well.

Cat Urine and skunk sprays I use like 10 ounces of Hydrogen Peroxide, 1/4 cup Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and three squirts of liquid dish washing soap liek Dawn etc. Mix them up and scrub with a sponge and it is better then vinegar and doesn't leave the bad smells like vinegar. LEt teh mictures et and rescrub once more and then pour remaining mixture over affected area and down air outside and under the car hood vents if a cat peed in them. You can use this on vomit once you claen teh vomit up and one hard surface a Hydrogen peroxide can change color of frabrics, har etc.

Im a smoker myself but I understand where your coming from. If your landlord is a decent landlord at all then he should have gotten rid of that before moving you in unless there was an agreement between both of you before that. I'm not saying he legally has to do it but in my opinion he should have done that (alot of times it takes a new paint job). I'm also a landlord and most of the time after a tenant moves out I have to clean the house up and more times than not I repaint the walls and ceiling when I can.

You could also use chlorine dioxide, which you can make from MMS or sodium chlorite.

Max C I would still use the white vinegar. Just more. I would make at least 2 of these and spread them out. ;)

I would also look at maybe adding a dehumidifier. If you need it.

Lori Dennis not sure. It would depend on the size. 4 or 5? If it’s really damp you might want to try drying it out and adding the vinegar as well.

This I'm sure is MUCH cheaper but if you'd like an alternate, try freshwave. It is amazing!!! However, in saying that, it isn't cheap and I need something for work restroom & break room and this would save the company a lot of money so thank you for this video!!! :)
