@@ShabbyFabrics I absolutely love this on my tree! Your directions are so great, and it was so easy with the little 2 1/2" strips, which I invested in awhile ago. I used a gold bow and hanger and it is just precious. Thank you so much and once I get some pictures of these on my tree I am sharing them on FB.
O gosh, the hundreds I made like this! Still have three on my tree 🎄

I recommend you first use a flat 2-1/2” fabric square to go over the top. then start your layering of folded fabrics.

@ShabbyFabrics

On our eggs, 4 worked very well but if you get a slightly larger egg, you may need more than four around the wider areas.
what size of styrofoam eggs are you using here ? it looks bigger than a 3"

Mary Kay Harman our eggs measure 4 inches from tip to tip, but this technique can be applied to any size egg. You may just need more squares to go around the wider section of a larger egg 😊

@ShabbyFabrics

Do you mean press as you go? You can definitely do that if you'd like! If you are wanting to finger press without and iron, you can do that as well, but the pieces won't lay as flat or sharp :)
