    Better late than never? I just found this a few days ago and made one tonight! I'm so happy, it looks great! I'm sure I'll make more of these. I'm thinking the typical spring, summer and fall colors, and definitely one using teal fabrics for an ovarian cancer awareness wreath! Thank you so much for all you do to put these videos together for us. I love watching you and learning from you. You seem so sweet and patient.

    Thank you Jennifer for this tutorial! I made a Christmas one, spring summer one and now I'm making a fall one. I have a couple of tips one is that I iron the long strips the long way that way you skip one step when ironing than you cut them to 2 1/2 inches, also if you don't want to accidentally burn yourself when ironing the points you can use the clover roll and press or the back of a spoon. Hope this will help someone. Have a Blessed day!

    well - let me think - how long are the strips in the pre-packaged fabric bundle you use? I know they are 2.5" wide - and your directions say you need 10 strips - so the fabric would be 22.5" in one direction - just need to know how long the other dimension would be....

    This is beautiful, thank you so much. I wonder, have you used hot glue instead of pins when making this? (Ah, I just watched this through and you mentioned hot glue) I would be curious if that would also work to doubly secure this, so that when I store it for next year it doesn't lose shape, or pins (ouch! because I would probably end up finding the pins when I put them in a bag =) These diys from 2016 are wonderful, I'm so very glad I came back to watch these as our tree is homespun this year.

    You could definitely use the glue to make this even more secure. We don't see why that wouldn't work! Let us know how yours turn out. - Morgan

    are Satin straight pins the same as Silk straight pins?

  • @ShabbyFabrics

    @ShabbyFabrics

    Silk and satin pins are relatively the same. Satin pins have a very thin shaft, so it slides easily through the fibers of finer fabrics like silk and satin. - Yajaira

    Can you do this with flannel material? Pros and Cons of that?

  • @ShabbyFabrics

    @ShabbyFabrics

    6 ай бұрын

    Hi suny2239 - We're not sure of the entire list of pros & cons for creating this with flannel as we haven't done that, but we would imagine that the flannel fabrics would be thicker, so that may affect the pin length, and the prairie points may not retain their shape as well as a stiffer cotton fabric would. Hope this helps! -Michelle
