DIY Nissan 370z Differential Cooler + Gear Pump!! Don't spend $800 when you can spend only $200....

Welcome back to another episode 🤩. Today we are installing my Differential (gear pump & oil cooler) on to my NISSAN 370Z. This install is to make sure that my NISMO GT-PRO diff is always happy! If you plan on doing a diff cover change (Z1 Diff Cover) or even upgrading to a better diff (NISMO GT-PRO). While you are at it you might as well save yourself some time & do these few small installs for your 370z. Doing all this will definitely make the life of your Diff much longer especially if you are going to ABUSE it like ME!     Yes i thought about it as well. Some parts of the video If I wasn't to speed up I would be stuck with like a 20min video. For a yoyrube under 1000 subs thats a bit too long. But please if you have any questions reach out to me in insta @notrigga I would be more then happy to help

    Splashing air too much creates air bubbles and it froths up and causes more heat... as long as the cooler and pump can keep up you're all good...

    3 years now, no issues. Since it's buttom fed it line is always full no matter what fue to case have more fluid then it would normally now. But yeah I haven't had any issues. It's been all positive and when needed diff cools down really well

    For best fit! I coulda possibly pushed them in. But just wasn't feel it. Ether way it works. Been driving on it for a min no issues. Plus after diff maintenance soon. I'm heat wrapping all the lines too

    Great video, very detailed. I have all the parts gathered, did you have any issues with clutch material clogging your pump? I too have a brand new nismo 1.5way. Super expensive lol

    Nope, never had any issue You have to run break in fluid at 1st with normal same grade fluid. When broken in change to nismo fluid. I have two of these diffs, one in my 240sx and other in my Z

    @@TriggaM oh ok, thanks for the info.. I was wondering about a break-in period because my diff came with 2 quarts of oil. I won't run a filter either.

    When diff fully warm and being abused. You will see about 15 to 20 degrees in heat drop when pump is on and feeding the cooler. This is a very amazing set up

    That was a fantastic idea... did almost the same thing on my 2000 F250 7.3... just use a 180 degree temp switch to turn on pump and fan. Kwel Diff... Happy diff!!

    Pump is only rated for 140 degrees - diffs operate well into the 200 degree range. Pump might not last - just a heads up. Love the video.

    Huh thats a very good point bro. I never saw that. I had to take thr system off for my stock exhuast to go on for inspection so maybe this time around il changed some things when it goes back on

    @@bernardwarr4187 just to reply to this: oil and fluid temperature will equalize very quickly in a closed loop cooling system. Component order (radiator, pump and whatever is heating the system) does not matter.

    ​@wine bartender not if you run a fan 24/7. Correct order is into filtration, then cooler (running fan)and finally pump.... mine never goes over 80 degrees, I thrash mine.

    Havent put it to the full.test yet but in the next few video, you will see the whole rear come back toghther, as well as the diff installed & the cooler + pump running. Coming soon 😉🙌

    Hey you put the link on other video for oil pump and for oil lines, first question the link for oil pump is when you open it it is different pictures then your pump and what length lines and size you used?

    It's just a normal gear pump. Used 6an fittings with SS lines.

    Self taps but now it has rive nuts for easy removal

    Can't help you. I dont do diff rebuilds. You gotta have a professional who has the proper tools! Its important that that the diff is put in thr pumpkin 🎃 correctly other wise it will cuase big time damage. Last time I check I got quotes $650 ish for installation

    Won't work for gear box I tried the design Too much work and tbh kinda useless You want that trans fluid to br hot lol in a 6 speed For the diff tho different story Especially since I have a full built diff ($$$$) And yes switch and relay So I can turn it on and off anytime I need to
