DIY Nintendo Switch Mini, XL, Switch TV & Remote Play

Hi, this video shows 5 different options/ideas for the Nintendo Switch. They are all DIY attempts so if Nintendo did something similar obviously it would look much better :-)
Below are the timestamps for each part:
0:39 - No.1 - The Switch FANG.
2:19 - No.2 - The Switch Pro Vision.
4:13 - No.3 - The Switch TV.
5:29 - No.4 - The Switch XL Pro Enclosure.
6:40 - No.5 - Switch Remote Play.
This video is just to show what different ideas look like, so in all instances the controllers are still connected to the main Nintendo Switch. Obviously if Nintendo released one of these products then they would work properly independently of the main Switch.
Many thanks Vince.
UPDATE...….
Hi there, a lot of people have asked about how to do the remote play so here goes....It is not the same as 'real' remote play because the Joy-Con is still connected to the Nintendo Switch and NOT the iPod (unfortunately). To get the gameplay onto the Switch I am using a Elgato HD60 S to capture it onto my desktop PC and then I am using TeamViewer to stream it over to the iPod, you can also do this on Android phones and tablets. TeamViewer is not the best option to stream hence the lag. If Nintendo did a version of remote play then you would be able to use the controller or on screen controls anywhere in the world like PlayStation remote play, hopefully in the future it may become reality :-)

Hi there, I updated the description with how to do the remote play option as a lot of viewers had the same question...Video Capture then TeamViewer....Bad news is you still have to connect the Joy-Con to the Switch so it isn't 'real' remote play as you need to be within Bluetooth range of the Switch unlike proper remote play where the controller connects to the device itself or has on screen controls :-)

Switch Fang: Not a bad start to an idea. I think that the screen should still be 720p and touch capable, but a portable-only Switch for kids is a good idea. Pro Vision: Not a fan. The Screen being on the bottom of the controller just looks like it would be awkward to hold to get that perfect viewing angle. Switch TV: FINALLY! Someone else who has this idea! A non-portable micro-console that still plays Switch games at the same quality for much cheaper. It should either be shaped like one of those Joycon charging stations so that it can still charge Joycons, come with a charging grip, or just come with a Pro Controller instead. XL Enclosure: Pretty cool, but I think that it's bulky and uneccessary. If I want to play the Switch in 1080p, I'll just dock it to my TV. If I want to play it portably, I can just play the Switch like it is. Remote Play: This is kind of redundant if you use this with the regular Nintendo Switch. If you want to play your Switch Portably, just do it without Lag. However, if this were used with that Switch TV version, then I'd see much more use for this. Being able to stream your Switch TV anywhere there's a solid internet connection. That may be something people will use with a Switch TV.

Hi there, I updated the description with how to do the remote play option as a lot of viewers had the same question...Video Capture then TeamViewer....Bad news is you still have to connect the Joy-Con to the Switch so it isn't 'real' remote play as you need to be within Bluetooth range of the Switch unlike proper remote play where the controller connect to the device itself or has on screen controls :-)

i think the switch itself is a great size. In all of its physical dimensions. Im especially happy about how thin it is. I do think Nintendo's next release should give the switch more screen real estate. The really large bezels make it look like a $20 tablet. Hopefully they can figure out how to bump resolution to 1080 and still maintain good battery life, but we'll see

I think a dedicated handheld one would be a good item. They could keep the screen roughly the same size but remove the bezel, cutting off a good half inch from all sides, integrate the joycons into the console to remove the weight and cost of the transceivers, put in a battery with better power management since it doesn't need to dynamically ramp up and down draw when docked, and allow it to fast charge like mobile phones. Basically they could push down the price point by taking out many of the docked mode bells and whistles and better optimize the system for the not insignificant customer base who only really use it in handheld mode anyways. It would be a move in a similar spirit to the 2DS.

Well now I know why there is so much lag in smash, because they don’t have severs they stream it between switches. Also I like all the designs except the switch vita idea. The other one I have nitpicks, the first one is what you would expect from Nintendo, just have a smaller version with the same controls, but I don’t like how the want you to already have a switch or purchase joycons, unless they come with the mini. Same for the pro version, but with a pro controller. The XL version just seemed to bulky, but I did like how it was like having a small TV or computer so people can mode it easier. My favorite was the phone idea, so all you have to buy it the clip for at most $15.00 and a joycon or pro controller, but I didn’t like the lag because you had to steam it and you would need a hot spot on your photo be to play it anywhere, or have Nintendo online.

Well, apparently it's possible, as shown in the video, but sadly I don't know how :/ But it's not a function on the Switch. That guy in the video is well known of using lots of things to make something work (like using Nintendo controllers on the Switch).
