How To Make A Monitor Stand / Riser (Oak)
I’m board of my hollow wood door editing desk! Well If I lean on it my elbows will go through it!
So time for an upgrade, starting with the monitor stand, made out of local oak that I milled and dried, then taking the Apple cheese grater look as my inspiration came up with this design, with a dash of epoxy to save me dusting them darn holes!
This is one of 3 vids to make the whole set up, and I can say it’s miles better than anything out there - dare I say the “ultimate editing desk” haha Well, its full of wood-porn for sure!
It’s defiantly over the top and has left some peeps lost for words!

Noice!! Looks great, Ben. Liked the background music 🎶 and text references! Lol .. the monitor stands feet fits perfect (more or less) 😜. But the amp(?) fits really well.
Wife loved it and the video was great.👍🇨🇦📐

Lovely job mate, love the design. You had me giving it large with Sid James laughter 😂 every time a caption popped up. I just watched a master at work creating another great innovative piece mixed with some "carry on" humour 😂 Brilliant!

Really entertaining way of illustrating an interesting project. Recently, I took your advice on the use of Unicorn Jizz. I am now a convert to PU glue but will be more diligent in the use of protection (gloves) in the future. Ben, you better brace yourself as I'm sure you'll be on the receiving end of a good many thumbs up.

Haha, its great cause its quick by what a PITA if ya get it on your hands, even when you think youre safe to take the gloves off the hands find some somewhere! 🍻🍻🍻
Shiney! A lot of jizz references and I'm not surprised with all that buffing...
A whole desk top with a smart bulb underneath, so you can change the hue and brightness at will. 🤔😏

Funny you mention that, I searched online for some that can be in resin, received them put them up against the resin and they looked shite, there wasnt a nice glow more a bright white dot so I canned the idea 😏
