DIY Mobile Miter Saw Station | Modular, Storage, Free Plans

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This week I built a DIY mobile miter saw station that’s also modular and has lots of storage. As I continue to organize and build out my shop I’ve put a priority on place saving design and modular functionality. This diy mobile/modular miter station gets the job done nicely. It features 5 drawers, 3 cabinets, and a fold out support wing for cutting longer materials. A full build article is linked below.

Really nice project and a well put together script. I like your paint and intend to find out more. Good sense using heavy leaf hinges to attach the wing. Speaking as a cranky old fart with considerable hearing damage, I suggest you can the tunes even though I like your selections. Your voice and silence are enough. Best wishes.

Nice touch with the colors! I built a similar wing setup (non portable) and I found I needed to put a screw head on top of the wing support to be able to fine tune the wing to be true to the saw top.

Very nice! I will refer to this when I get my next saw. I'm trying to decide which sliding compound miter saw to buy...thinking about the Hercules from harbor freight or the Bosch. Does anyone have either of those, or have recommendations.

  • @JonnyBuilds

I have the Bosch. It’s a great saw, but I had the 12” and it took up more space than I needed while the extra capacity wasn’t necessary.

Question....Why do many youtubers making cabinets, have the side panels overhang the side and NOT supported by the bottom plywood? it would seem weaker with only screws holding sides on. i see plenty of pocket screws, thats good. (You may have glued it, but not shown in video). Great Build though. Very clean and quality work.
