This particular kit comes with glue and tools, so you don't need anything else. I like using my own tools and glue though because they make it easier.

First check to see if the batteries are in the correct way. If that isn't it, your 2 wires on the led bulb that connect to the 2 wires on the battery box might need to be switched around. If you are still having problems check the wires up by the led bulb and make sure they aren't touching each other.
