well.... (makes up a possible explanation)... it is a natural gas fireplace with a natural gas feed pipe IN and an air exhaust fan and flue pipe OUT... latest thing don't you know? : D

If you asked me, I think the dinning room should have been in the other room! The one with the fireplace and the higher ceiling!
