The wallet canvas part is an amazing idea for people who use their art travelers journal for EVERYTHING... You diffidently made it completely functional for all day, everything use, just what us artist need in their art journal!

If you want more hinge like action you can put different sized washers in the embossing tool and make embossed lines along the binding. Put 2 lager diameter washers with a shorter one between. This way you get two lines on the first pass. Then one wheel rides in previous line so that the new line is parallel.

I like it!!! It's 'simple' ... and yet, "EXTRAVAGANT"!!! I have been " making " - ' INSERTS ' and TN - Covers, during these last few days, and to tell you, I have been "enjoying" it, to the expense, that, I even "created" my own business's "logo", yesterday!!! I have been watching Dyan Reaveley's and Jane Davenport's Mixed Media craftings and artworks, and is now "totally" entwined with them, that I make it a "habit" of 'drawing' & 'painting' " Whimsical - Faces" on my A5 - TN " Inserts " that I made myself!!! Waiting for Dyan Reaveley's Journalling Notebook for the First Time, I'm so "excited" to receive it, and start making "crafts" and "arts" with it! I also bought a 1,5 m x 1 meter , 200 gsm drawing paper, that I'm going to make a huge book for "crafting" with, aside from the Reaveley Book!I am in "what a planning"!!!! I wanna make a business with this, and call it my own "FIRST BUSINESS"!!!! I hope it will be fine .... Your "DIY" is really so good!!! TFS

You could probably whip one up out of additional leather and attach it one of two ways - either tuck it beneath the elastic and have it removable or rivet/contact cement for a permanent solution. Cause I was thinking the same thing; need a place for pencils etc.
