Diy metal detector (simple and powerful)

Hello everyone.
Metal detectors are among the most popular devices and we all want to have one, and what's better is to make one ourselves.
In this video, we want to make an easy and powerful metal detector.
In this project, we used two ICs and one mosfet. I hope you like this video.
( wire size for the coil is 0.4 mm and 30 turns)

I like how practical this guide is, but a little background would be great for people that like to understand what they are building (like me). Like what type of detector and a high level explanation on the reasoning for the number of loops, diameter and thickness of the wire. That would help making our own experiments. Specially because understanding the relation between the gain and frequency with the choice of coil would go a very long way on bridging the theoretical to the practical.

@@Electorr I know, I saw that. But as I said, understanding how you got to them would be far more interesting than just imitating what you have done. For example, let's say I want to focus on small size iron made objects and maximize depth. That would likely involve updating the coil specs for that purpose, but without understanding the choice of turns, thickness and diameter it becomes difficult to try that.
