    I really appreciate you drawing on the paper to show what to do first because a lot of tutorials were so messy and only say 'cut like this, cut like that'. Can't really see what's going on. But your instructions were very clear and you showed a wider view. Great video.

    Great tutorial! Pro tip - all the cans of soup and corn in the kitchen are also known as pattern weights. Putting them on your fabric to keep it flat and still whilst cutting really helps. Also, to make those long hems ironing the edges also makes it easier. Like, fold it and iron the hem in, them stitch it up. Make sure you have the right heat setting.

    What you added to the edge is called either bias tape or bias binding in English :) Thank you for the tutorial!

    Hello there! First thanks for that simple and awesome tutorial. Second, I’m working on a templar knight cosplay and I need a cloak on it. The thing I want to ask, is should I add the neck hole length to the radius, like if the cape is to be 1,50m long, should I add the 40cm long neck hole to that measurement, making the radius approx 2m long?

    I've had a bunch of cloth my aunt had hoarded stuffed in my closet for like a year now. Somehow I never considered making a cloak... Also, a question: You have the cloak 1.5 m. Should I crank that number up because I'm a big boi? I'm nearly 2m. Should I measure from my shoulders to the ground or something?

  • @lightningwing8962

    @lightningwing8962

    3 жыл бұрын

    I wish you luck finding fabric with a width of 2m but generally you want it to be around 10-20cm under your total height so you'd probably want fabric with a width of say 1.8-1.9m if possible and get 3.6-3.8m length, however, this may prove difficult as not a lot of fabric comes in that width. It being 1.5 will probably bring it to about upper shin height. Hope this helped!

    Hi! Thanks for making this tutorial it's very clear and easy to follow! I'm 5'3, and I have 2 yards of fabric. Do you think it's enough to make a long cloak (long enough to reach to my ankles)? I've never made a cloak before, and I just need some input before I cut anything. I don't want a hood or anything, just a cloak. Thanks!

    I thought I folded my fabric the same way, and I watched the clip multiple times, but apparently not enough. My cape piece was nearly cut in half RIP. Despite this I think I can salvage it. There's a 3 in or so part where its still together and im gonna put that on the front of my neck and put the two halves over the shoulder. Ill leave an opening to be able to slip it over my head and sew it up. That's the way im going to fix it if anyone else ends up doing what I did lol.
