Love this video because a Traveler’s Notebook was literally the reason I got into leather-crafting 4 years ago. I didn’t want to pay $100 for something that was just a rectangle of leather with holes, lol! I caught the leather bug after that, and went on to spend a small fortune on leather working stuff…and now I’m pretty sure my husband wishes I would have just spent the hundred bucks to buy a TN! 😂 I’m going to buy your acrylic set because I love the design and I want to support your work. Plus…you’re a local businesses to me (I’m from the Philly area too!). Thanks for sharing your talent Justin!

4:13 when doing middle (centre) knots do try the right over left and left over right square knot, cos such knots are more flat compared to the usual knots, and less irritable with the pages.

15 different ways to make a 'insert' notebook cover. I use eyelets in my leather to protect it from the cord. Easy to do. I eliminate the center row of holes and just use a single loop for the closure. I make a leather washer to enclose the knot. Looks nice. One long piece of elastic. One knot. I use four inserts for elastic. Double what the expensive Japanese version gives. Hey, everyone is different. Yours looks great and works. Now you have to figure out a loop for a pen. Inside? Outside? Middle? Edge?

First of all, this is super cute Midori like notebooks. Second, I prefer to keep my nots in the bottom of the notebook. No in the middle and last, I usually do only one sets of holes. Once you get two notebooks in there you can easily loop a third notebook if you wanted.

PS.. I wanted to share a tip that I picked up... can't remember from where... Razoko Floss Threaders work great for pulling the elastic thru the holes. Saves a lot of time...

I always like to keep the knot on the shorter side so that way you don’t have a bump on the inside of your insert.

Hi, great video and specially thank you for sharing the pattern, I do have a question for, the inserts I been looking at are the dotted ones, I find them a bit pricey, I've searched on Aliexpress but I wonder if anyone has any idea or option, I'm planning to replace my regular journal for a one of this and I do love the dotted pages.
