DIY - Log Coffee Table

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to make a Coffee table from a tree stump/trunk. I used Jacaranda Mimosifolia wood that grew in Pretoria, South Africa.
In this video, I will show you how I turned a log into a coffee table.
I used a Chainsaw, belt sander, orbital sander, and a drill.
Sanding the stump flat took a bit of time but the result was totally worth it!
This was a fun project, with a fantastic outcome.
It took about 4 hours to complete.

Thanks. If you are based in South Africa, you can buy them at Gelmar. Otherwise, google caster wheels. Good luck 👍

Could you please clarify what exactly you did so the wire left a trace mark on the stump?

I used a chalk line. It's string covered in powdered chalk. I think it would be easiest to Google how to use a chalk line.

Not quite fresh. It's dried for a few months before making this.. and it's still as good as it was when I made it 😀

Ohhhhh... 🙆🏽‍♀️ I found some tree trunk. I wanna make something cute for our lounge... Any ideas where I can keep it so I don't have a problem with bugs and stuff?

Ohhhhh... 🙆🏽‍♀️ I found some tree trunk. I wanna make something cute for our lounge... Any ideas where I can keep it while it dries out so I don't have a problem with bugs and stuff? I also see now that this little project will require some equipment... 🤔 I have a lot of saving to do.
