Hi Everyone,
In todays video we took you guys to two of my favorite lavender farms here in Oregon. We visit these two farms every July 1st, and it's one of my favorite summer traditions. We love lavender so much, and I wanted to show you three simple DIY projects using lavender.
💜 Our first project was making lavender soap. This is probably the easiest way to make soap, but it allows you to get creative and add your own touch. I like this melt and pour soap making method because its so simple and the materials aren't too expensive.
💜The second project was making a lavender wreath. I love having wreaths for different seasons, and I think lavender ones are just a classic for a lot of us.
💜Finally the thirds and simplest precut is making lavender sachets. I like to dry the lavender first, and then using these little bags and have it all over our house. When I was doing my undergrad, I always had one with me when I would study to help with stress.

I am making sachets out if vintage doilies and hankies that we found when going through my friend's Mom's possessions after her passing. We will be using lavender to fill them and then they will be sold as part of a fund raiser to help my friend's work neutering feral cats and trying to find homes for them! Watching your video gave me new inspiration to follow though on this project which will help the homeless cats and honor the amazing 100 year old woman to whom the lovely vintage items belonged!

I have about 30 lavender plants mostly in raised beds. I grow two varieties, sensational and phenomenal. Last summer I made lavender eye pillows, lavender bug spray and lavender soap. I dried lavender in my she shed this year and am going to make lavender soap and a wreath

Hello Claudia, so happy to have bumped into your video. I absolutely loved it especially because I love lavender myself, it is so refreshing and soothing. @@InTheGardenWithClaudia yes there are a couple up the McKenzie that usually advertise for a Lavender Festival, but we didn't see any ads for it this year - I have a feeling it like so many other things was canceled this year. Just like the Swan Island Dahlia Festival - at the end of August, beginning of Sept - I see had been canceled for this year.😕 I was hoping this might be a great place for you feature on your vlog! (Maybe if you contacted the Gitts they'd let you come film their acres of Dahlias anyway😁😉).

Ramibu 2 Oh that’s a bummer. It’s sad how many things have been canceled. 😩 I completely understand that they had too, but it’s still sad. Also, great minds think alike. I’ve already asked them if I could come do a quick tour when I went to their farm to pick up our tubers (including the ones you received and we gave away). 😁😁 I’m still waiting to hear back, but I’ll be connecting with them this week. They’ve already started to sell cut flowers in their little stand on the farm, which is so fun since mine haven’t bloomed yet. 😍
