It is calming, safe and convenient. My nine year old son will come out to the shop with me and he’ll start splitting down pieces just to keep his hands occupied.

Thank you very much. It is about the best way that I have found to do kindling. The only downside for me is, it does take up a little room, but it doesn’t take up a whole lot more room than a small stump to chop on would. Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great day.

You realize that you could have purchased exactly that tool on Amazon? It’s called a kindling cracker.

Yes, but not as low a profile, this was more economical and it was fun to build. I never did care for that design or I would have gotten it. Thanks for your comment and have a great day.
