Tip: If you use one BA for the mids and one for the highs and you want to glue it together, please make sure they are not aligned on the opening (nozzle), instead align them with the terminal. High frequencys travelling faster than mid frequencys. When you align them both on the nozzle, the music isn't time-coherent (group delay) anymore, so the staging and imaging isn't perfect. For holographic imaging and more depth in staging, please align the BAs with the terminal. :)

The speed of sound doesn't vary with the frequency. Basically you need to align the drivers so that their acoustic centres are equidistant from the ear drum. I don't think that aligning them at the terminals will always produce the best result. In reality, it's best to also take the phase response of the individual drivers into the account.

Can u share links or suggest any sites to buy drivers ?....I destroyed one of my kz zsn pro by mistake so I have a case to add new drivers and make my own iem ....with the tutorils u add I'm sure that I can do this .....I hope u post more vedio or a vedio series building an iem for urself .....I'll be waiting for more :)....

Im building my own in ear monitors. Is there any chance to find somw templates for decent sounding crossover? I already have BA quad driver from knowles and ofcourse i have some need to boost high frequencies… maybe add woofer as well.. :/

@@hi-friaudioman True that...things like litz wires, acoustic tubes and connectors are not that hard to find but drivers, it's harder to find quality and units with good spec sheets.

@@hi-friaudioman i would like to ask the same question, would it be better (aka cheaper/more worth it) for me to make a; 1dd 2ba (1mid, 1high), 3 ba, 4 ba (2mid), or just 1dd 1ba? Or if you have another specific reccommendation. Which specific drivers, how to do the crossover, and how to avoid incoherencies. Im looking for a natural sound (mids and treble is ief neutral) like crinacles tuning, with excellent seperation, and tight bass (fast and clean without overly bassy). Imaging and soundstage is appreciated but not as important as the former.

At worst just solder both pairs the same and the phase will be the same.

I have no idea how do message in KZread so I'm posting a comment. I have a trn v80 that the left one is broken but the right one is fine. I was going to throw it away but before I do I was wondering if you wanted me to send it your way so you could play with it. If not I'll just throw it away. I'm assuming you live in the USA and it wouldn't cost much for me to ship.

soak your hands in hot water if they catch super glue. It will come off relatively easy
