DIY: How to remove inner tube for Xiaomi M365 electric scooter
How to hack into the rim to remove the inner tube. This wheel is actually from a Xiaomi M365. But it is the same with many electric scooters with 8.5" tires.
Жүктеу.....

There's something so gratifying about fixing profoundly stupid design decisions in sophisticated tech with such simple yet functionally elegant solutions.

Great video and solution to a design issue that has gone almost unnoticed until this point. Always was curious how difficult those angled inner tubes were to change

I’m getting no psi readings using a portable pump. What does that mean??

I found an easier way: cut off the (rubber) tube away from the metal valve. This way you will get rid of the extra rubber thickness from beneath the valve. Then it is easier to wiggle and get it out

I had some problems in getting out the tube, but not so much. The problem now is insert the new valvle back in.... Can't do it

@@vuaeco yup drilled this plastic and a bit of metal too, to widen the hole. Went in smoothly. Thanks

Remove the motor cover, remove plastic grommet, remove inner tube. Reverse the steps to install new inner tube! Have a good day!

hey, undo the screws on the hub, give the axle on the other side a good couple of hits with a hammer, and you will get space to remove/refit the inner tube no problem. Like your solution too though, if I had a heat gun that's me too.

I got the tube out. The plastic was stopping it from getting the new tube in… so I drilled the plastic lol… so annoying

I did remove it with a hammer. I didn't need to remove any plastic. But problem is to give it back

You just hammered the tube out? What about inserting it back in?

I hate the tyres on these things. I'm going for solid tyres, I don't care if it's bumpy i'm not changing the tubes again.

Tubeless tire, you don't need to change again

Tubeless tyres still go flat and are a nightmare to change because they need to bead currently on rim to avoid leaks.. stick with air filled tyres they give a better ride overall.
