DIY HOW TO MAKE STUD EARRINGS FROM AIR DRY CLAY
Hi guys!
This week I am trying to make #jewelry for the first time. I personally like to wear pretty much only #studearrings and smaller pieces of jewelry so I took out my #airdryclay and made 5 different quirky designs which will eventually go out to my patrons by the end of the month. I explain the whole process of me making these cute earrings, the materials I used and some tips I learned throughout the process. I would love to know your thoughts in the comment section.

Just a suggestion with painting the earrings: if you make a small paper stand and stick the pins on with washi tape or blue tack, it can work as a mini stand and holder for easier maneuvering! Thank you for posting your videos as always

Very cute earrings. I wonder if you paint the backs and then attach the resin backing first if it might make painting the front easier with something to hold on to? I'm also curious why you used the resin instead of super glue to attach the backing? Thanks for sharing your art!

That might actually work better. Can't believe i haven't thought of this . Thank you for the tip. I used resin as i find its the most sturdy for adding the backings. Those are stuck there for good now. And superglue can get really messy sometimes. It's more of a personal preference to be honest

Is it durable? Will the jewelry made from air dry clay damage easily?

It's definitely less durable then polymer clay for example but varnishing it with resin definitely helps with durability. So far the jewelery is looking good. With time it might not last as long as let's say a silver piece of jewelry
