    I love your videos! I’ve found them very helpful in setting up my STP. Why did you change from having the heater in-line with your filter pump to putting it on its own pump? Is it not a good idea to run hot water through a pool filter pump? I want to add a propane heater to my STP but now I don’t know which method to use 😆

    Thank you for the videos! What holds on your insulation? Also, do you think the insulation held moisture too close to the tank and contributing to rust forming?

    Hi, cool vid, thanks for the info. I see your heater is rated 4.2 GPM and your pump is rated 3.3 GPM. What do you think about how well they work together? Do you think a pump with a slightly higher GPM flow rate would be better? Thanks.

    Why did you choose a propane heater instead if an electric?

    First of all love the videos! I just got mine setup with your help and I am beyond stoked to start using it more. I have been considering adding the heater before winter because even the hose water is cold as hell here in Denver haha, so I had a question regarding that. I recall the last time you were running the big pump/filter to the heater and the heater to the pool jet. Did you opt for two separate systems (heater/mini pump and large pump) because of better water flow? Also for the two new holes. Is positioning important? And the new perforations seemed smaller in diameter than the original two. Is that correct?

    What state do you live in? We’ve had our stock tank pool operational for three years now and I want to turn it into a hot tub for the winter. Do I need to take the hot tub out of the ground which we submerged it halfway and put foam around it

    I've been thinking about doing this with our stock tank pool - but I was wondering, what made you decide to use a seperate pump for the heater? Is it just a regular water transfer pump?

  • @snowsims146

    I was wondering this too. Everyone seems to have a different pump for heating, which I don’t understand because most pool pump are rated to run for longer times. Also, two pumps just means more noise.

  • @Wingnut353

    @Wingnut353

    @@snowsims146 it is because it only takes a low flow of water to cool the heater (because it takes quite alot of energy to heat up water).... and pool pumps are high flow and expensive to run for long periods.

    It'll also restrict the flow of the filter pump if you don't run it separately

    Does the regular pump run at the same time? or do you turn it off and only run the heater?

  • @StockTankPool

    We will do both. We will only run our pump at 6 hours max, but it is nice to have the power of the pump circulating the hot water coming in.

    Hey, all, my husband and I went and bought all the components for our 8 foot propane stock tank. We have the camplux heater, now we’ve tried three different pumps, we have the Intel filter, everything we have according to videos we have watched should have this thing up and running. However, nothing we have seems to be able to run our heater for as long as it needs to to heat up all that water. The pump seems to stop after a while probably from being overheated. And it shuts down the whole system. We’ve talked to many different pump companies and nobody seems to have an answer for us. Does anybody out there really have a propane, heated, hot tub that actually works? I would so so so appreciate some response. We need all the help we can get. Thank you.
