DIY HONEYCOMB PAPER CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS | DIY CRICUT CRAFTS

This year my Christmas tree was looking BARE. This is my first holiday season in my new home and I wanted some fresh decorations. I decided to create these DIY Honeycomb Paper Ornaments for my tree that I'm obsessed with! I saw versions of these ornaments at Target, West Elm, McGee & Co., as well as several other popular retailers. I felt like I could make versions of my own at home and I couldn't be more happy with how they turned out.
It's important to know that this project is way easier and faster if you have a Cricut cutting machine. It can also be done if you have a regular computer printer at home, but it does take a little bit more patience.
Supplies:
- Downloadable Ornament File
(www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesDigi...)
- Cricut Machine or Printer
- 12 x 12 Card-Stock (for Cricut users)
- 8.5 x 11 Card-Stock (for printer users)
- Paper Glue with a fine tip (amzn.to/3k5Drwr)
- Printer Paper
- Scissors
- Paint Brush
- Paper Towel
- Straight Edge (I used a piece of scrap wood)
- Clamps (amzn.to/3IAQJLS)
- Cording (amzn.to/3irSyA2)
- Beads (amzn.to/3GR30dL)
- Large Yarn Needle (amzn.to/3VYB2RI)

I like the basic design, but I changed it so that at each opposite edge has a piece of thin cardboard glued on and then a couple of strips of hook and loop tape glued to the cardboard. That allows me to store these "flat" for the next Christmas' use. The hook and loop tape will hold it open, but I can pull the two sides apart (releasing the hook and loop tape from each other) and lay it flat. Love that they stay neat that way!
