Das Gitarren Kit als Ausgangsbasis:
www.thomann.de/de/harley_bent...

This is my first guitar building project and it was mega fun.
I built the guitar like this on my porch, so a lot of improvisation had to be done here.
I like T-style guitars, Headles guitars and acoustic guitars, here I combined all 3.
The tuning system I came up with completely on my own, it is recessed into the body of the guitar so you can't see it and gives the cleanest look possible.
I drew the parts for the system myself and printed them on the 3D printer.
I painted the guitar with shellac, which is not as environmentally harmful as most other paints.
However, it was very time-consuming to apply the varnish, because I applied about 20 to 30 thin layers and sanded several times between.
However, the look after the varnish, reminiscent of old traditional instruments and I think the elaborate varnish has thus more than worth it.
Inside the guitar I have installed 2 piezo pickups + the original in the bridge. Thus, the guitar can also be used as a drum :)

  • @tijnstarr

    @tijnstarr

    7 ай бұрын

    Viele Dank für die netten Worte ! Die M8 Gewindestange hat allerdings nicht gut funktioniert. Ich musste diese gegen eine 8mm dicke Kugelgelagerte Welle wechseln, damit die Seiten nicht Reissen xD Das graue Plastikteil habe ich Konstruiert, damit die Spannschlösser geführt und abgedeckt werden. "und als Sichtschutz für die Hässlichen Spannschlösser" Das ganze System ist allerdings nicht ausgereift im Video. Ich habe ein neues Design Konstruiert was wesentlich besser funktioniert, allerdings bis jetzt nur in CAD und als Modellversuch. Ich werde versuchen das dieses Jahr noch zu bauen und zu Filmen.

    Hello, thank you for your great compliment that makes me very happy. The tuning of the guitar goes with a M5 nut, or with my self-printed knob, on the bottom of the guitar. The whole thing is very easy. I built the guitar so that you can't see the tuning mechanism, because I wanted the guitar to have a clean classic look. The tuners are completely hidden in the body. I will make the days another video to guitar, where you can see that better. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

    So the grooves keep the turnbuckle looking things from turning as you tune?

  • @tijnstarr

    @tijnstarr

    Жыл бұрын

    I have milled grooves in the wood which, when tuned, ensure that the turnbuckles do not rotate. In addition, I have constructed a lid that also has the grooves and also fixes the turnbuckles from above. The whole thing works quite well, but I would optimize the whole next time.

  • @tijnstarr

    @tijnstarr

    Жыл бұрын

    Das ist das spezielle an der Gitarre, ich habe eine eigene Stimmmechanik konstruiert die im Gitarren-Körper verbaut ist. Stimmen tut man auf der Unterseite der Gitarre, mit der Hand oder mit eine 8mm Nuss. (Eigentlich wie bei allen headless Gitarren, nur das meine Mechanik versteckt ist, also integriert. ) Ich werde dazu nochmal ein kleines Video machen, da ich in der Zwischenzeit das System etwas verfeinert habe. Danke lg 😀
