Really good job .I done this too but overspray went maybe 20 meters down the road. I spent 2 days getting over spray of someone else's car 😢😂

@@LT_TOMMY_ it's a base cote first then the lacquer protects it also when you put the laquer on it will bring the colour out moor. Use a 2k laquer. You might have to just go over with a thin coat of blue first if the paint is marked. Im Looking forward to seeing it tho mate great job.👍

Well thanks very much for this video , bascicaly you did a demo for that Lidl spray gun , like myself it will be my 1st time spraying any vehicule ! But I think you did a really good job , well done !! For 30 quid it works really well, I'm going to order it now online !! (good little tools that parkside gear) As I said above you did a wicked job being outside and you were in luck with the weather too !! Good luck for the rest of your van , that blue is awesome !! Well done mate...looks really good. I did my whole van in rattle cans...took am age 🤣 but that came out fairly decent. I saw the paint going on your van with that fence sprayer and...its what I will be buying for my next re spray.

@@LT_TOMMY_ I have a video of the roof being sprayed...but....it took me 2 8hr days to spray the whole thing with 2 coats using rattle cans. I'll upload some vids and clips actually, I'll shout you when I put them up.

Mate you have done a cracking job with the electric spray gun. I was reading the instructions on the one I've just bought and it mentioned flammable fumes. Well you didn't blow yourself up so I will take your lead. Hopefully I don't blow myself up and I will post the results. I'm hoping to try out an enamel gloss type paint.

I have some paint and a black n decker sprayer but I'm worried the xylene thinners may kill the plastics of the gun

looks alright that pal, there if one hint i can offer Tekaloid 318 Paint can be sprayed or rolled on with a foam roller, leave a gloss shine much like 2pac paint.

@@LT_TOMMY_ no clearcoat needed with the Tekaloid i mentioned, its coach enamel (or tractor paint if you like) thus leaves a gloss. i use black to paint motorcycle frames, but i have painted a whole bike with it more than once, comes out nice

Which nozzle have you used?

What paint u use 2k direct gloss or a base colour?

A coat of clear lawyer to finish

I bought a compressor, air lines, guns etc for around £400 in total, bought auto paint and auto clear and painted my Toyota Celica in white in my garage. I have one of these electric guns and they have really surprised me. I have the wagner motocoat which I've used to paint cupboards at home! Did a good job on them, I was going to repaint my celica again this year and was looking at a baby blue. For your first go you did an amazing job. That fork to mix the paint had me cracking up. How well has this held up so far?

@@LT_TOMMY_ I used uPol's 1K clear... The 1K, oiil & celly based paints are bad enough when inhaled but the 2K ones are very very nasty. I might give this a go tbh. I recently bought an E92 M3 and want a graffiti artist to go to town on it, but a nice flat matte finish to start with would be really good I think - I think clear out of the leccy gun might be hard and might be really runny, so I might use it to lay the base down and then clear over it with the compressor... Honestly mate for a side of the road job, you did amazingly. You are very very talented, it's easy to fuck this stuff up!

How much did you thin the paint down mate?

Yes I've heard of a thing called clear coat. This is military paint it's clearly stated that you don't use a clear coat with it .

Clear coat is not used and not needed with certain types of paint, especially single stage.
