Great job. Just wondering what you used to take the paint off at 0:08? What's the liquid you used at 1:34? Thanks!

The s13 240sx gas tank is actually coated in some coating that easily washes off with gas. I used gas from inside the tank and was able to melt off the coating. Not too sure what it is but it is not paint.

How much of that rust encapsulator did you use ? Im trying to decided if 16oz or 32oz is enough ?

You can probably get away with 16 Oz. Just need a decent layer of it. Stuff is good though. I always get the bigger one.

    What about the inside?

  • @240Tony

My inside wasn't rusted so I never touched it. There's products out there that can treat the inside of your gas tank, I personally never used those products before.

So, he strips & repaints the outside, whooped-dee-doo: what did he do to “restore” the inside which is where true tank restoration counts? I’m growing more gray hairs waiting . . .
