Awesome job! For future reference could you screw through the bottom of it instead of the top to hide the screws?

what size screw did you use on the 2x4 mount?
What's the mounting bracket measurements and how long are the screws to attach them to the studs?
What stain did you used ???
What size cut were the little side pieces? You never mentioned it…

I know. I've watched a bunch of these DIY FP/TV wall builds, and I've never seen cable boxes addressed.

Might just be using a fire stick or something like that, it would only need power.
