I bought a $50 Drill Storage Cabinet from Amazon. But I starting thinking, "Can I make this for less money?"
Below is a list of materials I used along with the Amazon Cabinet and the tools I used to build my own.

I make and sell, 4-5 of these a week. Depending what the customer wants, it’s made out of either ½ or ¾ plywood, the sides are always 1x10 knotty pine, trimmed to 8-¾ (so trim ½” off) the tool cubbies are 8-¼” x 3-⅜”W x 3-¾”H, to accommodate all drills, impacts and big half inch impact wrenches. It’s glued and brad nailed and can make about 6-7 of them with a 4x8 sheet as well as a few 1x10x8’ pine boards. I’ll sell them $40-50 each and for an extra $10 I’ll add a circular saw holder on the side. I cut all my pieces at once and have a production line going so assembly/sanding can take as little as 15mins each (in stages of course) ready to go.

Hey Gene, I vote for your DIY. It's a rewarding feeling doing DIY. Kits usually have some short-coming. The world is not "one-size, fits all". Project suggestion for you... make a router table. I made one quite a while ago and it's faster pushing all the pieces through the router table, before assembly, than to palm-sand/round-over everything. It's just another project idea for when you got nuthin' to do, huh? Later, my friend.

Nice! I see you have another hanging system but for me I'd go with a cleat hanging system on the back though. You can move things around as desired but still have no worries about falling down.

Hello Old-B! I have been trying that CBD oil for a while but I don’t think it’s doing much. Maybe I should try the real thing. LOL. Oh and shop cat says thanks.
If you hang the tools with the battery at the top the reverse button isn't a problem. It also let's you see that the tool is just a tad easier. Nice video and I agree there is something about doing something yourself. Maybe it's the endorphins released each time you look at it idk.

@@DIYGene good idea !
Hi, 4 dual hooks for aboutt $14 will allow hanging drills flat against wall instead of sticking out a foot. They're relocatable and can be configured for different equipment. Chargers can be mounted on wall vertically, with a screw or two, with the same flexibility, and are easier to load/unload than having to reach on the top shelf at an awkward angle, and unless you're mounting so low that this is not an issue, then you also can't see the charging status lights.. Any flat space can store spare batteries. In my opinion, These storage boxes take too much room for their dedicated function.

Those are good suggestions and a different strategy. Thanks for sharing.
Because of the drill "switch" it's better to hang them upside down IMO. I find it risky to hang the weight of a drill + batterie on that little mechanical part.
We’re you using 2” 18 brad nails or 1 5/8” staples?

While i love watching these videos and get ideas for my own projects far too often including this video people do not count their time in the value of the project. Time is the only currency you cannot get more of so while dollar wise you lose out. Unless you are doing it for a YT video or it provides you with enjoyment. I wish more DIY'rs actually addressed the time value of these projects. Its going to be different for everyone but it at minimum needs addressed.
@DIYGene

You bring up a good point and I will try to address that more in my videos. For me it is more the pride and the enjoyment I get from building something with my own hands. But I do realize that might not be for everyone. Thanks again for your suggestion and for watching.

I’m not sure why?
Yeah, cheaper, provided your time isn't worth anything. I'd rather be making the things I want to and buy the things I don't. You don't make every tool, why make every storage for them? BTW, there are much cheaper options, albeit in metal. So, nice job, but I think it's a tradeoff in time vs. money.
