DIY Drawer Wine Rack - Simplified Assembly For Beginners

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

One of the first additions to my up-and-coming woodworking plans website.
I want to simplify project assembly to give hobbyists and beginner woodworkers with limited tools the ability to make more complex projects.
I am kicking off with this awesome and super easy-to-make drawered wine rack.
Wine organization and storage rack. A must-have for any wine connoisseur and the best part is it is easy to make.

    Excellant job, you might want to put a wall bracket on the back of it, as if you pull out more than two shelves, the cabinet could tip over, and spill the precious product.

    Yes, more , definitely. Shop projects are great, non-shop projects are just as great. Keep them coming. It makes my whole day better every time I see you posted a new video. I am just a hobby woodworker from the U.S. I probably have more tools then the average person, but no where near as many as the professional. Your channel is the perfect balance for me. Really good video - many thanks. If you were to continue to refine your design, you could increase the router/chamfer on the bottle slats at one end to ensure that the bottle is not level but tips slightly one way. That would allow you to store bottles with corks slightly downwards to keep the cork moist. This is not really an issue for screw-top bottles I accept!

  • @RossRawlins
    @RossRawlins2 жыл бұрын

    Your shelves should be at an angle. The wine should always be in contact with the cork. Just an FYI

  • @spinfiredubai

    @spinfiredubai

    2 жыл бұрын

    Exactly what I was about to comment, you should never have the cork exposed to air. The wine will go off. Also you should use the playing card trick to space your drawer fronts, will give you a more uniform spacing. I love this project by the way, would love to see this made from old oak wine barrels...

    But if the bottles are unopened then the amount of air in the bottle is small enough that the cork is fully in contact with the wine when the bottle is horizontal. I can't imagine storing a half empty bottle.
