DIY Drawer System for Toyota Tacoma: A Complete Guide

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Took a deep dive and showed the DIY, Goose Gear Inspired, truck bed drawer system that I built for my 1st gen Toyota Tacoma. Using parts from 80/20 Aluminum, Amazon and a trip to our local Home Depot for some birch plywood, I spent two weekends building out the system. I also showed what I store on a daily basis inside the drawer system and hope to inspire how you build and carry gear in your truck.

$1200 for everything. A similar goose gear system would be about 4500 shipped.

Great overview. Just Subscribed! Quick question- How did you get that bed platform frame? I'm working on similar project. I like the idea of having similar frame.

Man this is rock solid. Did you bolt the drawer system to the bed? Also, I’d LOVE to have the measurements and order details. I’m trying to build mine out in a 6ft bed.

We love it! It’s an OVS 270. Gives us plenty of coverage all the way around the vehicle. We love camping at the Outerbanks and with my genes of being a ginger 😂, I burn so easy. Thanks for watching!

Can you share the measurements and the orders that you made please ? Also how much or what’s the estimate of money you put in to build it the way you did just to have an idea what I can afford

how do you like the bed liner spray vs plastic bed liner

I had the plastic bed liner before I did spray in. It’s all about the prep work. I spent close to a day of wire brushing and cleaning the truck bed. Next day I believe I did three full coats. Then let it sit for a full 24 hours before even driving the vehicle. I let it cure for a week before I actually put anything into the bed. No issues with it.
