DIY curtain fix, Guest bedroom ROOM DECOR, Christmas Home Decor
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Our somewhat English country guest room not only got a little Christmas decor, but I did a DIY no-sew project by making four window treatment panels into six. I'm also sharing how I make my award winning (in my family at least) butterscotch rolls ( recipe link is below) and how I was duped by the persimmons that were supposed to predict the weather for us. Within this video, I am also asking your interest about reading home and lifestyle magazines vs home and lifestyle coffee table books.

During a major snowstorm, while many of us are getting up to two feet of snow, I edited this video to upload. I hope you enjoy the few topics I'm sharing. I know I said I was going to do a few short videos, but I realized that creating a longer one, that includes several topics, is less editing and uploading time. I know! How selfish of me! ;-).

Love the Window Treatments! May I ask what Music you have playing in the background, Thank you.
Making an annual coffee table book would probably be a better balance of your time too, rather than stress on making multiple magazine deadlines. You are amazing woman, have your home organized and decorated perfectly, you bake and cook with love for family and friends....I would love you as my friend! You know the secret of a great life....balance, taking time to enjoy the little moments in daily life, creating a loving "nest" of home, honoring our country's heritage, finding "treasures" at little stores, creating from nature etc. Yep, you are one very talented, giving, caring soul! I love your videos!
I enjoyed the various topics in this video. A seasonal coffee table book would be wonderful.
Coffee table book sounds wonderful!
Thanks for showing this trick, I’m often at a loss “ the only sewing skill I have is by hand🙄 “ thanks .. Merry Christmas 🙏🏻🎄
My husband did installations for over 30 years in Rhode Island. He is the best and very meticulous.
I would love for you to do a coffee table book❤ I love your genuine spirit.
Your videos make me happy! I would love either a seasonal magazine or a book. Whichever is better for you!
This was all so delightful. I can almost smell and taste that butterscotch. I would rather a coffee table book. I love those... but would be happy with either.💚🎄❤
Country Curtains are really the best for quality & price! I got 3 valences (Hatfield pattern) and they look so great in my 1803 house's living room. Cutting the panels - great idea! Butterscotch Rolls - another great idea - not having to rise dough is a time saver. I would love a SEASONAL magazine! New England has so much to offer, Linda you are the best to hightlight it!
I LOVE, LOVE, your channel!!! ... and Willow too!
Thankyou for both the curtain tutorial and the and the butterscotch roll recipe. 👍🏻👍🏻🎄🎄❄️⛄️❄️
I must be selfish. I want both, seasonal magazine and a coffee table book. I ordered the past issues of New England Fine Living and received them last week. Thank you. What a quality publication.
I would love a coffee table book with your decor/paint/food & garden - landscaping ideas and shares. I enjoy your simplistic elegant decor & decorating where everything has a story. Take care be safe. : )

Those rolls look absolutely scrumptious! Yum.....
Linda, I vote for seasonal magazines! Thank you for sharing your easy but delicious recipes. I bet Willow is enjoying the snow. Jane
I love the wall paint color.
Love your channel, so peaceful to watch. Looking forward to your videos in 2021
Yes yes yes to a coffee table book! So fun! ♥️
I love your guest room.
I am really enjoying your channel. I am a former New Englander, who lived in Andover, Boston, Watertown as well as Burlington, VT. My family then moved to upstate NY which was very colonial in its culture and design. I am now retired and due to downsizing had to sell many of my antiques and here in southern Georgia/northern Florida the appreciation for this era of design is not as desirable so seeing your channel makes my heart sing. Merry Christmas 🎄 and a happy new year 🎊 to you and your family!
So cozy , I would love to stay in that room if i were a guest.
Loved it!!! Going to try the butterscotch rolls😊. I’m a magazine girl
Thanks for sharing this video. I really enjoyed all the topics, especially the decor in your guest room. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
Linda thank you for your beautiful content! I would love a coffee table book! Merry Christmas!
I would LOVE a seasonal coffee table book! What a joy it would be to peruse this book to find inspiration. I keep books for decades, rarely magazines. I do have a collection of TOH magazines because I find tips and tricks within those pages that have guided me through projects. I live in a condo so I have to be mindful of what I’m able to store in this small space. Please DO a coffee table book, I would snatch that up 🙂!
The seasonal magazines would be my choice. But then again, a coffee table book would be just lovely!! Both, perhaps? In different years, of course.
Oh I vote for a coffee table book! Love your style.
You do a lovely job! Merry Christmas and for my family Happy Hannukah!

I cant get enough of you! Coffee table book or magazine. You can do no wrong where I'm concerned! You are a very talented and creative lady. Just give all of us more of you however you want to do it. Merry Christmas xoxo
Yes, please! A seasonal book would be wonderful.
Really beautiful fabric!
Everything, my dear, is rocket science, especially to beginners. Thanks for the beautiful calming music.....e
Love the no sew curtains. The butterscotch rolls look delicious 😋
Linda, I just love you.... Definitely a Seasonal coffee table book.🎄😘
The bedroom is so lovely and your butterscotch rolls look yummy.
A seasonal book would be nice 🎄
I would be proud of presenting a coffee table book authored by you in my danish living room
Coffee table book would be nice, and another good video. I enjoy your channel so much. Thanks for sharing
Yet another very interesting and enlightening video. Really enjoyed the varied topics. My vote is seasonal magazine...something to look forward to each season. Thanks again for all your time and effort.
Love Country Curtains, thought they were no longer in business, but I found them on The Vermont Country Store. So great to know, because I live in Georgia and there’s nothing like them here. Go with the book. Your ideas are classic and need to be kept forever. Thanks for your snippets of life in my home state!
I so enjoy your videos. I am in Arizona so we never have snow . Your pictures of snow are so pretty. Your rolls look delicious and I am amazed at all of your varied talents.
I would love a coffee table book. I make cinnamon rolls and just shipped some to our daughter along with other goodies I make at the holidays. TYFS, stay safe and healthy everyone❤️
Love the small guest room Christmas tree in the urn. 🎄
Love your videos? I always learn something new and useful. Coffee table book would be very nice during my morning coffee or evening special pampering me time.

Hi Linda, your guest room looks very inviting and I love the pattern of the curtains, also your butterscotch rolls look absolutely delicious 🌝
I would like to see a seasonal coffee table book. Never heard of seedless persimmons before seeing your video! Btw Linda thank you for your Christmas card and also to the other “Kindred Spirits that sent cards. Great idea! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
As it looks like a snowflake when you cut it open... it means there will be lots of snow! ❄️
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Keep up the great work. The rolls are a must try.😉
Great job! I love the fairy! Rolls look delicious! A coffee table book would be nice.
I would love a coffee table book!
I just loved watching this nice long video-it made me feel warm and cozy...and hungry!! Those rolls look delicious. I think my husband and I will make them Christmas morning. It’s great you were able to reuse those beautiful curtains and easily rework them. Whichever one is better for you-I love books and magazines equally. Hello, sweet Willow ❤️
I like the idea of a seasonal coffee table book.
I'm going to try the rolls, they look really good.

OhI love the star idea! What a sweet way to remember loved ones!
I was trying to pluck up the enthusiasm to go and put the washer on in my bungalow underbuild in Spain. So I had a bright idea and uploaded this video. I've recently bought bedding for the visitors bedroom and it's classic like you have in your video. My friend always wants me to go for more bright colours but she likes a Bohemian look. That's not my style. So off I went to ' work ' knowing I had your video to reward me when I came back inside. Thanks for showing us how to use the webbing. The curtains looked nice at the end. Thanks for the recipe too, looks delicious. Regarding your question. I would like both magazines and a coffee table book but personally I would find it easier to buy your coffee table book.
your home is beautiful so cozy pat from canada
Thank you for sharing the curtain tips! And the butterscotch rolls recipe. Definitely going to try them! I would love seasonal magazines. You have a plethora of great tips that would enhance any season. But if you choose to do a coffee table book I’m your loyal fan and would love that, too!
Your videos are always beautiful. I'd love to buy the bundle of magazines. I'm a book lover so I would enjoy a coffee table book!
Hi Linda I did like you showing the snow. I am in the south snow is a big deal. I made the butterscotch roll. I used a small box of bisquick. They came out good. Sent some to my neighbor. My husband has eaten a few. This will be a re-do. Thank you Pauline
Hi Linda I love coffee table books however I feel you do have so much lifestyle in you that a periodic magazine can be successful. Thank You and im going to fix the butterscotch rolls for my husband.
coffee table book yeeessss
I’ve just discovered your channel and we are indeed kindered spirits! I love everything about your decorating style and channel. I live in BC Canada and rarely find anything in consignment stores that suit my style. I’ve been hunting for hurricane globes for a couple of years now 🤣! I also haven’t even found any new that I could buy and have shipped here. Assuming you’d be able to ship to Canada, my choice would be the coffee table book. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home and inspiring dreams and ideas for “fine living”!
I came over from your 2021 Thanksgiving video at Sugarwood to see your recipe for the Butterscotch rolls, I think I'm gonna try em. They look so good!
I would LOVE a seasonal magazine!
I love Country Curtains. Their products are such great quality. The butterscotch rolls look amazing. A coffee table book would be amazing. I wish I could help you with your book. It sounds like it would be an amazing journey.
Love your channel ❤️❤️
I would love a magazine.....or a coffee table book....anything from you would be FANTASTIC! I’m going to make your butterscotch rolls soon...they look delicious and easy, too! By the way, I have received several Christmas cards from your card exchange....thanks you for such a nice idea...we all need some “kindred spirit” love this year, for sure!
I wouldn't add anything to the guest room. It is perfection.
I think that I am Madame Persimmons! A friend of mine has Persimmons trees on her property here in northern Italy. I picked all of them because when they are soft I slice them and dry them. We eat them like chips. I have seen just a few seeds in the whole batch. I have been told that there are 2 kinds of persimmons.
I would love a coffee table book! 😊
I love your videos. Either a book or magazine would be wonderful! This makes me want to take a trip up north again. (I'm in the DC area).
I would love a coffee table book.
A coffee table book. Would love it.
Seasonal magazine sounds ideal.
I collect coffee table books and I have followed you for a while, so i vote for a coffee table book.I do not live in the east but love to visit the country site and homes when we travel there. Stay Safe till the next time.
Country Curtains! I just discovered I can find on The Vermont County Store site. How I miss the store! Seeing Persimmons during the Nor'easter was funny. I am mixed on the curtain rod - I see it matching the top of the bed posts and it being a major headboard where it appears to connect. Of course, there isn't anything I do not like that you create! Happy Friday, Kindred Spirits! Oh, forgot....Coffee Table Book!
Love this video... Linda I enjoy the fact that you do projects in your home like making the curtains rather than just buy new curtains! I love the idea of a coffee table book but usually they are so expensive .. I would rather a seasonal magazine. 🙂
I picked wild persimmons this year in Illinois . There was a spoon! But it looks like you have a lot more snow! Love your videos!
MERRY CHRISTMAS !! Love your home and decorating ! You could get some decor items and hang from the curtain rods. I know their out of "style" but, I loved the candles that hung on things that still had the "wicks" attached. You could loop two over a nail or curtain rod ..etc. Just a thought, Ha.
I enjoyed your video from beginning to end. Being I live in Northern Calif. in the valley we do not get snow so I really enjoyed seeing yours. Seasonal Magazine please.
I'd love a coffee table book, that avoids looking "dated" in a few years :)
A coffee table book would be nice to see.
Boy I'm going to try making those butterscotch rolls!! I'm thinking my husband would also be coming into the kitchen if I was a baking a batch of these up 😋 Your guest room looks beautiful very welcoming and hopefully in '21 we can all have guests and be guests again! That's a hard choice for me I like magazines but I also love coffee table books, hummm I think I'm going towards coffee table book! They just look so beautiful when you set them out 💗 Enjoyed!!!🙂🍁
