    Will the new step bond to the existing concrete? Do you have worry about it shifting?

    if the you drill pieces of rebar yes it will bond … no no worry about shifting

    Why not make it level with the Door ledge that’s already there?? Wouldn’t it be safer?

    Because theres more % that water could get inside the house and pluz i the customer how do they want it and they said they wanted like that 👍🏻

    There would be zero purpose for it to be level with door and wouldn't gain a thing but the possibility of rain coming in.

    @@featheredcoyote5477 Bummer! Mine doesn't. The step stone is level with the frame of my sliding door, which is water tight. But yes, if that is a concern, it is the best solution.

    @@marciloni12 so what exactly did you gain if you only put 1 step level with the frame of your door? It's still the same height whether you put a step in or not so I don't see what you gained?

    @@featheredcoyote5477 Nope, it didn't. Pools trowels have shorts ribs and are very flexible, to fit in the contours of a pool. How can you get anything flat with a pool trowel? You can't. Double rounded ends, you can't get a tight wall line. Leave concrete to the guys who know how to do it, Jr.
