DIY CLOSET SYSTEM WITH BOOKSHELVES

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

So I was tired of my cluttered boring closet, and decided to give it a makeover! The Target DIY closet system has been all over the internet, and I was definitely influenced lol. I've always wanted a closet system, but never wanted to pay thousands for one. This DIY project was sooo easy, and I am super happy with the results!

Hey, in that corner, you hang your long dresses or long clothes. You can hang from the wire shelf you are not taking down. Since you don’t use those clothes all time, they won’t be a pain since there is no actual pole there. You did an awesome job!

you could do a smaller bookcase in the corner with it facing the short one you have installed. Give it some sort of base and then you'd have even more shelving storage. I LOVED this video - so real and inspiring!

This is exactly what I was thinking. A mirror above the shorter cabinet/bookcase and a plant in the corner. She could also do a lamp or like someone else said...use the corner to hang longer garments like coats/dresses.

You have given me SO much to think about. I'm so glad I came across your video. I'm converting a spare bedroom into a walk-in closet and I'm not able to spend thousands of dollars for that built-in look but that's the look I really want. I was going to settle for wire racks but I'm too old to be settling at this point. I've been thinking about this for almost a year and this is the first time I've seen someone using basic white bookcases and turning them into clothing racks. THANK YOU!!!💐💐💐

I would prob put a nice mirror on that wall near the entrance and def get some sort of closed storage bins for the folded clothes on the shelves to keep it neat. Maybe those grey fabric bins with the lid from 🎯 would look nice

You did a great job. Just a little add on. You can get a little rod for the corner to hang your long dresses. Don't leave that space blank. Use what you have. Also if you remove the things on top you can add a 3 cube shelf up top. Or even the 4 cube shelf to reach your ceiling.

THIS was the video I was looking for when I remade my closet in my apartment last year! The same wire wrack hack, the same bookshelf Target hack. I just couldn't figure out the rods and gave up, I accidentally bought some flimsy thin ones in a 5 back on Amazon that were so tiny. But had I seen this video, I'd have known what to do. This was super detailed and I felt like I was redoing my closet again watching this. You made a damn good video.

For a more sleek look with the lights, if it's within budget i recommend rechargeable cabinet lights the make them linear so they aren't as bulky and provide more light per section since they're linear. They're available in different types like motion sense, etc. I think they're definitely worth the money and are more of investment in the long run since they're rechargeable. Also for the corner, you could always get an artificial tree or artificial hanging plant just to fill the gap or if you have the patience, install a couple of floating shelves and make the corner functional. If you already haven't done it, I also highly recommend a full length mirror on the bare wall with a sconce over it for extra light. 😸. I'm living vicariously through you 😹

Hi I love what you did to your closet. I just have one suggestion If that's alright. I think you can still switch side of short and long book shelves by taking down the wire shelve. and just used the top of book shelves for extra storage. Also there's those long wood shelving that come in white you can buy it from Lowe's or Home Depot I think you would like them better than the wire shelve. I hope you don't mind my suggestion. Thanks.

I already have the black velvet bangers and we don't have any of the black rods in my area either; I've been looking 😔 What you could have done is switched the shelf and cube storage to the right side and it would have all been snug since there is no bracket on the right side. It turned out good though 👌🏾
