Nice tutorial! Thank you for sharing! Though I came across some issues. In the description, 2x30 cm should be replaced by 4 x 30 cm. I also guess you measured the cords starting from what remained at the end of the work. I suspect cords in the video to be way longer than what's in the description: I ended up with some very short stub (1-3 cm) before the last row of hitching knots that made impossible to finish the work. I would also add to the description the short cord at the beginning and the one you use to bind everything together at the end. Just in case one buys to size for this and other projects. Thanks

Very frustrating. I’ve done a lot of videos and they always turned out well. Your measurements are way off and it made it impossible to finish. Time and yarn wasted. I’m not happy at all.

I too had same problem. Since it was my 1st macrame, I had to go to another video to make knots clearer to understand. But thankful there is a video like this nonetheless

I have never done macrame before. Going to try this.

It is hard to find enough words to thank you for sharing the pattern and for letting us know how to make this macrame. My heart grateful and I appreciate your generous attitude. Thanks to you I made my first christamas tree and I am incredibly happy due to decorating my home with my own hands. And when following the tutorial I was wondering how it was to come up with the idea of this wonderful tree. It must be very exciting and inspiring to create the whole project. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial! I made it and it looks so great. 😊 In the end you need 4 cords of 30 cm and the cords at the end could be longer, I had trouble knotting them at the end

I too had my cords too short in the end... it was my 1st time doing macrame. Maybe it would be better to specify if 1st time make cords longer

At 2:38 you say to attach a cord on each side but you don't say which cord. Also, did you correct the mistake pointed out be a comment below, concerning the instructions to use the wrong lengths? Is there a place where I can find the corrected and thorough instructions?

Any chance you have a pdf of directions to accompany this video?

I do like the tree you made but it would be nice if a) the cord lengths were correct and b) you noted the lengths of each cord used at each step. I know how to do the knots and will try and figure it out.

Agregar 20cm más a cada cuerda. Use cuerda de 2mm, hace tiempo que hago macramé y me han quedado muchos hilos cortos usando las medidas sugeridas.

If I use 4 mm cord, how much more length should I add to the cords? I want it bigger than this one shown but I love the pattern.

You should try with a 4mm cord.. I don't have that kind of cord.

I would double the lengths as it is double the thickness, any scraps at the end can always be used for tassels and leaves and feathers

ciao, ho lavorato con 5mm filo di cotone intrecciato da bobbiny e ho aggiunto 50 cm per ogni lunghezza...stava andando molto bene! 👍

I cut all the pieces to the length suggested but it was too short. I couldnt do the last set of swaure nots or hitch knots. Does anyone know how much more cord is needed? Would love to try this again before christmas

Agreed. I think my issue was that I used 3mm as well. Too short of cords so I just improvised the bottom.

Is there a written pattern?

What is the order of when to use each length?

My question too. I cut all the different lengths but there is no direction of the order to use them. Yes, I do assume to use a short one and then the longest ones first, but ?? Please advise.

Если шнур берете 4мм, тогда как минимум на 25% прибавляйте длину нитей к рекомендованной автором. Иначе елку не закончите или придется подвязывать нити

Beau projet, toutefois ce tuto n'est pas assez "visuel". Vous n'expliquez pas quelle longueur de corde il faut utiliser et à quel moment il faut l'utiliser. La vidéo est "suggestive". Dommage je passe
