This is easily the best one I’ve ever seen! Exactly what I had in mind for my yard. PS next time you do the roof,the screws with the done on top actually go on the top convex part rather than the bottom concave part. It seems weird since you have to use longer screws but thay way water doesn’t collect and go through the hole and rust the screw or leak through. Not too much of a problem with this design since you have grass and whatnot, especially if it doesn’t rain much there. Anyway, this is absolutely wonderful!!

For additional safety from outside dogs and cats, other animals, I would suggest an additional barricade around the existing. The weld mesh should be having smaller aperture.

I look forward to your videos and seeing your beautiful fur babies. I just rescued 2 from Costa Rica. And now really need to enlarge my catio. Could you share how you enclosed a tree for your catios? I have a tree in mind for mine, but I am not sure how to accomplish this task. Also, did you do any barrier proofing digging down? We have snakes here (FL), so I want to create a safe extension. Thank you so much for sharing! I think it's absolutely wonderful what you and your husband do for the kitties!!

We thank you for caring and taking in the rescues. Check our video regarding roofing, there we take about wired tree. We did not dig down but have secured the wire to the ground with 6" landscape staples. Also, we added metal gutter guards for extra protection. Check out on other channels how to avoid snakes in your habitat. We hope that this helps you.

This is by far, my favorite Catio. This is exactly what I would like for my cats. They so desperately want to go outside, but there are too many dangers out there. What do you recommend for protecting them from possible wasps, spiders, mosquitos, etc.? Do they use a litter box outside or do they come inside home to use litter box? Any info would be useful. I love your videos. Thanks!

Hello Yolanda, we hope that your cats will someday have a catio too. Yes, there is a litter box in the covered catio. The only point I would make is to monitor for wasps, and take action, avoid standing water puddles in pots, etc. as to not make it easy for them to lay egg.

We are planning to build a catio and would like the cats to enter it from a bedroom window, but haven't figured out how they should go through the window into the catio. Any ideas? Do I need a cat door installed into the window? Also, do you sell your catio plans? You all did an amazing job on your catios. The best I've seen. Thank you!

This is pretty ideal for what I'd like to build for my cat. I live on a highway and my cat Tango was hit by a car on Saturday and we had to bury her. It was devastating. I have one cat left, he's a kitten and I want to build a nice big enclosure for him so he can be outside and safely get exercise and enjoy nature.
