We got a new (used) canoe and there's no room left in the garage (since this is canoe #3 for us), so we had to make a storage area in the yard. There are also plans to add a kayak to the fleet soon (yes, we have a problem), so there's another free spot under the canoe.
I used a bunch of 2x8s salvaged from our old deck for this project. They cleaned up really well with the pressure washer and then I ripped them in half to make a bunch of 2x4s. Helped to keep the cost of this project to a minimum!
