    This is really cool to see, some day maybe I'll get into canning but now I know a way to easily label with that Label slayer

    Yeah canning isn't so practical for normal home brewing in a lot of scenarios. Typically not worth the investment unless really planning on shipping a lot of shared beers to friends :)

    Thanks for sharing guys! When you get tired of manually pulling the labelling machine by hand, I recommend getting LT-50S semiautomatic labelling machine. Its adjustable to different label sizes. My throughput is about 7 min for 90 cans. It could even do faster if two people are doing it at the same time.

    Thanks for the tip! I'm sure we will upgrade in the near future and certainly give this one a consideration! Do you find it pretty easy to use?

    @@BentGateBrewing setting up could be a bit of pain but its definitely worth it. You will probably need to change the core of the label to fit this machine tho.

    I have a similar one to @AntonPuzorjov, the MT-50 I think it is. Once set up, it's great. @HarryBrew69 has a good video on setting up and what to watch out for regarding its lack of an earth connection.

    Hi there, was just watching today's livestream and it reminded me of this can labelling video. Can you confirm the label you used - largest Epson Die Cut Roll I can find for the CW-C4000e is only 102mm x 152mm (C33S045541).

    The labels we use are pre-cut glossy 105 x 192 mm labels ("Standard EP10 40/200"). I get them from TA Elektronikk in Oslo. Hopefully you are able to find them where you're at! Could be worth calling a local printer sales company who maybe doesn't put all their available items on their website. Thanks for joining the stream!!!

    Didn't realise you did your own labels till now. Currently I'm paying over a £100 for my labels (3 x 100 on a roll), ordered from a company. Definitely going to look at getting an in house printer on the back of this video. How have you found it to be? Reliable enough do you think? Really enjoying all your videos. I have a very similar setup to yours and you have some great tips that I'm trying to incorporate into my brewday. Thanks again.

    Is there a reason you label filled cans rather than labeling empty cans before filling them? Any worries about them getting warm?

  • @BentGateBrewing

    @BentGateBrewing

    Жыл бұрын

    Good question! The only reason is so that we know how many labels to print after we can all the beers (some don't pass quality inspection). Certainly can label beforehand if you want (assuming labels can handle water well). They don't get that warm (maybe 10C tops), so no worries from our side.

    Certainly an investment. Depends on the price you can get small quantity labels for and expected payback time of investments. For us this will pay for itself in label cost savings but it would be a case by case basis for each business :)
