Ultimate Bunk Bed: Playhouse, Slide, and More!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This diy bunkbed makes things way more fun than a normal bunkbed because it's got a slide and a play fort on top! I built this almost all out of construction lumber with some plywood.

I am an engineer by day and a woodworker by night... usually after the kids are in bed and before the neighbors call the cops!
I have a passion for building things out of wood and all things woodworking. I am always looking for new projects that look fun and challenging. My woodworking inspiration comes from my kids, my wife, and the forests around my house. I consider myself a serious hobbyist and I hope you can learn something and get inspired from the projects and mistakes that I make. I will also show you how I organize and work in my small shop in 1 bay of my garage. I will share videos of my past, current, and future woodworking projects with the goal of getting you out in the shop making sawdust!

Wow so nice I like your job 💯
That’s awesome buddy!!! Great to see when dads take care of the kids and do something they will remember forever!!! Awesome!!!
That looks like a ton of fun, even the kids will like it...
Good job! Love it!!
Bro you have 5 kids? Wow. I have 4 and it’s a lot. The project turned out great. Great inspiration. Can’t wait to see your next build.

Thanks! Yes both 4 and 5 are a lot, which is why projects like this always take me a long time!

@@EveningWoodworker totally understandable. I’m pretty lucky cause my two oldest are 15 and 13 so they help with my 6 & 8. The wife and I are able to catch a date night more often which is nice.
Good Dad of the Year award!! Really is an amazing design for your kiddos! My only tip would be put something non-slip on the step/ladder treads. Little energy ball kiddos in sock feet are dangerous enough 😅

Good point, although one or two slips has taught them a lot about their personal center of gravity!
Smiles and joy shows everything. Bravo!
Kid approved! Nice job!

Man, great build. I never slept in a bunk bed, but I'm thinking I really missed something now! Those are memories your kids will always remember. Thanks for sharing.

Turned out very nice!
I am always amazed at what designs come out of your head ! Great job !
That is a steep angle on the slide -- looks like fun!

Yeah it was a balance between having a slide sticking into the middle of the room and not making it too steep. Now it's just fast!
Perfect JOB!

That is great. My sister and I also had a bunk bed set that our dad made. It was an interesting design, but it was nowhere that cool.
Way cool.

Very cool build, my kids would love a bed like that. My only “bad comment” would be could you make the video longer you did quiet a lot to the beds but not really shown how in the video, great idea

Yeah i didn't film a lot of the build of the top section because I was trying to just get it done. Thanks for the feedback!
It's wonderful. What color did you use sir? Can you güve a name or link?
Awesome job. Will you be offering plans for this Bunkbed build?

Are you still going to make a plan for this bed? Thanks.
Oh man. That slide landing felt ruff. My tail bone hurt just from watching the kids landing. Maybe a soft landing pad or extend the bottom of the slide one more section. I guess the kid in blue shorts that did not land on his feet. That did not feel comfortable.

Haha yeah they usually put a pillow at the bottom now!
Where can I get the plans for this? I don't see it on your site.

Nice. What wood is this?
@EveningWoodworker

This was all made from construction lumber so probably some mix of pine and Douglas fir.
