Thank you for the tip coach. I’m trying to do the same thing for my daughters’swim team.

Let me know if you come into any hiccups. You can always do a trial run with the cord and a tank of water. Once you know it works - you can head to assembly with the rest of the parts. But it worked like clockwork for me. Strip the shielding off the coax cable on both ends. We need the signal to get through. I basically had to whittle it.

Incredible that the coax carries and transmits the Bluetooth signal! The cable itself must be able to tune to that frequency right?

Can you explain what exactly you did with the cable ends?

Yeah. I stripped off the shielding for about 2 inches worth on both ends. That will allow it to pick up the RF signal and deliver from point A to B. Then, I basically rubberbanded them across the GoPro for as close a contact as possible. Doesn't plug in anywhere - it's just acting as an antenna. And the above water end is just near the phone.

FYI: The shielding needed to be whittled off. It doesn't slide right off like one my hope.

@@Sblankman76 which shielding? Is it just bare copper ends or have you just stripped the plastic outer and foil inners leaving the copper in the hard white plastic?

@@bobmuirhead6661 Just the outer shielding worked. I had to whittle it with a knife the way it was molded on. Of course, if it drops signal, remove more, but it was solid for me. I did a 2” section on both ends.

If it can connect remotely to a phone, yes. I don’t know all the different model features.
