There is such a stigma that is attached to that sort of job and that it’s not a woman’s place to do it...which I have ALWAYS SAID ITS BS and TY for showing so many that not only can it be done but it can also look AMAZING and you can decorate it as well as design it all on your own💪🏻💪🏻

Your talent at DIY is incredible!

Do you have a video showing the first time you painted the fireplace? I'd love to see which kind of paint you used and how you went about sanding it.

Very impressive that you did all this yourself! I can’t wait to see how the whole room comes together. The only things I would have done differently are using a pre-stain conditioner to prevent any unevenness/blotchiness, and extend the front piece of the mantle over the end grain on the two side pieces. Looks great!
