Now show what happens when it's loaded off center and the nail hits a front guide post at high speed. I'd feel a lot safer if the nails were on the sides/bottom and nothing on top.

Finding a rubber that's guaranteed not to break is kinda hard. That's why you always gotta pull out bro! 😄 Just kidding. I've found that Hobby and Toy Craft stores have better elastic bands (and more selection). We built little elastic band propeller planes.
