Hello Sir, Thankyou so much for your video and kind consideration of others and your help. Some really helpful pointers were, I didn't know, not to push the pedal to the floor when bleeding. I also found magnets on the side of your bleeding bottle a great idea. Thank you again, you were a great help and inspiration.

Hello Sir, I've just completed my rear drum brake job. I'm thrilled. You were the engine that helped and pushed me to do it. In the beginning, it seemed daunting, and if something went wrong, I was apprehensive in knowing what to do. I didn't renew the brake shoes, that wasn't the problem. The problem was that the brakes weren't releasing after overnight parking. I assumed something had seized. In the process of refitting the shoes, I caught the cylinder seal and a little fluid seaped out. I've just bled that cylinder and all went great. In future, I won't be afraid of having a look because I now have the confidence to go forward. That's all down to you, my friend. Sleep well tonight Sir. I am one of the many people you've helped. Thank you, and Godbless you. Ps. I've just watched it again. Straight, to the point, is easy to follow. Genius, my friend. You should be in Hollywood with films like that! 😉.
Good video. Looked at my fluid and it needs to be changed. Probably gonna do it next weekend.

I had a first today. I replaced a rear cylinder on my truck and had someone pump the brakes while I bled them. 3 pumps and hold, I loosened the bleeder valve, brakes did not go to the bottom nor did any fluid come out. Finally on third try, a "little" fluid came out. Brakes did not go to bottom. Tried 5 or 6 times, a little more fluid came out but brakes never went to the bottom. Drove it and brakes feel a little spongy. I have never heard of the brakes not going the bottom when the valve is opened. Thanks for some ideas,

What car? Some cars need a scantool to bleed in that kind of scenario.
Hey great video. Quick question though. How much do you need to bleed the brakes? When do you stop pumping the brakes? Is there an amount of fluid that needs to come out?

Just ordered this bleeder kit per your link in the description. Will the tubing fit the bleeder valves on my 2009 Honda Accord? It says "universal fit" in the description. I just bought a bleeder kit from O'Reilly the other day for my brother's Toyota Avalon and it worked, however, I had to use an adapter for the bleeder valves since the tubing was too small and wouldn't fit.

It depends on the car. Usually with left hand drive cars the rear passenger side is the first one based on the longest distance from the master cylinder. In some cars the abs system may change that. You have to follow the scheme laid out in the service manual of the particular car and it's version.

Ao just wondering, you don't have to have someone close the valve everytime you let go of the brakes and then open when the brakes get pushed down?
@MrRangerZr1
Жыл бұрын
No it has a check valve so you can do this all by yourself
What I usually do is have someone press the brake fully, with system closed, then I open the valve quickly and reclose it, so no air enters the system. How would this damage seals? Isn't this what happens when you brake normally in the car? Or do you mean it would damage seals if someone pressed the brake fully while the valve was open?

I don't think chris fix said to force the pedal but he shows himself forcing down the pedal in his video. You are stressing the master cylinder and it's seals when you force the pedal farther down than normal operation. This may result is brake failure.

You start at the wheel which is farthest from the master cylinder first and work your way to the closest. On most vehicles the starting point would be the passenger rear tire, then driver side rear passenger front then drive or front.
