Hey loves, Per some of your request I have finally gotten the chance to make this tutorial and further explain (other than my blog post), how to make a bonnet pattern and which size to use depending on the person that you are making the bonnet for.
So with that being said, as mentioned in the video; I use the size 14 by 14 for an XL adult, 12 by 12 for an average adult, and 10 by 10 for children 13 and up. I thank you all for taking the time out to watch today’s video and if you need further guidance you can always reach me by email or down in the comment box.

I'm actually proud of you for using math skills and techniques so many people have forgotten. For the future, just fold your fabric twice and use the point of the fabric as your starting point to make your 1/4 circle and cut. Cutting so much fabric at one time will also dull your scissors. I use books, rocks, cans whatever as a weight. You have some tenacity! Keep up the good work and much success in your business!
This was super helpful for me! Thank you! And you used things that are in the home and I don’t have to go and spend more money purchasing! Thank again!

Awesome, you’re welcome ❤️
You can fold the paper into a square and get your circle. You don't have to use the string and pencil as a protractor.

Thank you !
I made the pattern per your instructions. Thank you!
Very awesome video. You may want to try using a rotary cutter to cut the fabric. Just another option.

Cynthia Brewer thank you, I purchased one recently and I’ve been using it. I just need to replace my cutting mat to one that isn’t cardboard. I purchased this one when I first began sewing but now it’s time to upgrade lol.

Great ❤️thank you. Let me know how it turns out.
Super helpful, thank you! What's the measurement of the fabric?
@AubrielleImpel

Thank you, and I purchased 1 yard of each fabric from the fabric store.
Just so I understand, you basically take measuring tape from one side around the back of the head to the other side above ears to get these measurements?

Yes, try to imagine the measuring tape as where the elastic will be resting on your head when you put the bonnet on.

How do you sew bonnet .
Would an 8 x 8 be for children younger than 13?
@AubrielleImpel

Hello❤️ I usually do 10 by 10 but 8 by 8 can definitely work as well for a child under 13 depending on their head size.
Is one yard of fabric enough to make 2 circles to make it a reversible bonnet ?? Ty! ❤️
@AubrielleImpel
3 жыл бұрын
Hello, if you use one yard of one cut of fabric then yes it will still produce 2 circles and be reversible however it will be the same color on both sides.
This was a helpful to me I will adding bonnets to my website and I want to make them myself.

Awesome, I’m glad I could help! I pray for great blessings along your business venture!
It's NOT ghetto to teach how to use/reuse any paper to create a free pattern...I reuse FedEx/ USPS/Prime & UPS boxes to create my templates....& instead of the bed use the floor, coffee kitchen or dining room table to cut patterns & fabric.
