Bleach is not color it is a lightener because it strips the natural pigment from the hair. Never mix 40 volume with lightener because the it is to high on the alkaline side and will melt your hair off. The bleach should on be on your hair 50 minutes because the longer it stays it will damage your hair and melt if off. You never want to bleach your hair to white because you have broken all the bonds and taken all the natural color from your hair. Bleach to the level of pale yellow like inside the banana 🍌. If you have to lighten again because your hair is brassy or orange 🍊. Rinse, shampoo condition and reapply again then process for 50 minutes. You will tone with a violet, Wella T18, base toner with 10 volume or recommended developer. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and colorist.

Update to previous comment if your hair is natural or clipper short bleaching to pale yellow with a healthy haircut will keep your hair from melting and breaking off. Hair that is longer with be damaged, dry and thinner. FYI cream lightener and developer is a better option.

This is such supportive information! I bleached My VERY black natural hair left it in for 40 to 45min and it came out brassy/yellow. It's difficult to find purple shampoo and/or toner here I'm Zambia. But I intend on bleaching it again in 4 to 6 weeks past the initial date as I'm going for the pale yellow that You speak of, do You think I can get it done the second round?

I'm going to dye my hair platinum blonde soon and I've been doing my research. Out of all the videos I have come across yours is by far the best one. You get straight to the point. Good job it's looks good on you!

@@BantiSamantha a yr later and I've mastered the shiny silver bleach cut and color to the point of teaching my mom (on video in another country) and just finished bleaching my daughter's hair. We used Quick Blue and Ion sensitive 40 developer so our hair won't fall out, 1.5 - 2 hrs with 2 hair bags and we're set. I haven't had black here in a yr, thank you so much for the video.

OMG 😍, this is the color I want my dreds! I previously used to different box dyes, overall went from originally being dark brown, to light brown to honey blonde 😤. Dyed it 2 days apart, I know 😒. But I really want white!!!! Nice tho!!!

LOVE! I just finished mine b4 watching this video! Been wanting white hair forever but it was always still yellow. Bleached with 30 vol developer and loreal quickblue first day 50 mins each time, covered like you did. Waited 2 days and bleached 1 time the same way today. I was going to color it lavender but I love it so much I am going to enjoy it just like it is!

❤ Thank you for sharing your process! It came out really gorgeous on you plus it is super simple and very budget-friendly (and that is what I wanted!). I'm asian and a baldy as well. I used to spend HOURS in the hair salon AND spend $$$ to try and get the platinum blonde. No more of that nonsense --.thanks to KZread and folks like yourself sharing! I have seen SO MANY versions of how people do it and they range fr asian, white and black hair. Most of them use a lot more products so I was SUPER happy you used much less types of developer, toner, etc. Your video gave me the courage to use my 40 Vol for the 2nd day instead of wating for my 20 Vol to come in fr amazon. I did not have the protein treatment yet so my scalp was a bit stingy & did not feel comfortable waiting the full 1 hr plus. I'm "toning" it with Shimmer Lights shampoo right now as I'm typing this. Again, thanks sooo much for sharing! ❤

That is the color I have been CRAVING FOR...I asked a beatutian she said she did not reccomend me using the 40 developer, she said stick with 30 but the more videos I see it keeps looking like 40 is the way to go if I want true platinum.... Every bone in my body is saying do the 40..... Love your color and the cur is fierce!!!
