The warping effect reminds me of gravitational lensing. That's when the extreme gravity of black holes actually bend light around the event horizon, creating a unique "warped" effect. Good work.

me Dunco Black holes being perfectly spherical, the warping (bending is a more accurate term) by their gravitational lens doesn’t cause distortion.

Y’know once Evan recovers, I’d love to see you guys do a space themed resin painting similar to the Bob Ross and this! It’d be out of this world ✨

This is 4 years old, and I love that you kept the "Resin Time" jingle. You guys are hilarious and crafty.❤

Even knowing there was a major problem that happened prior to watching this video, I still freaked out! I sat up from laying on the couch and grabbed my forehead and said Oh No No No! But then I remembered this is Evan & Katelyn, and they are professionals at fixing their mistakes! And boy was I right! This table and video turned out absolutely amazing!! And let’s face it....everything was going way to smoothly.. It wouldn’t be an E&K video without having some type of issue to fix!!

@@notreallysure4575 I think they mean that it gets hot as it cures. Resin undergoes an exothermic reaction when the two parts are mixed and continues to get hotter as the chemicals continue to react. When the chemicals finally stop reacting the resin hardens and starts to cool off. 24 hours after mixing the resin is fully cured and cooled down.

Hey, Evan _ great enthusiasm with the paint! To make it easier to get a controllable first coat with black paint or glue, use a mini paint roller to lay down an even initial layer, then brush it out for full coverage. It’ll help control that (very normal) urge to lay down too much on your first contact with the surface, when so much of the area is uncovered, so your subconscious wants you to put down more than you will need. Love the video!

I love how vivid it turned out. And before you out the mirror in it made me think of an iris and pupil which would be incredible

Well, a black hole does bend light, so your infinity mirror oppsie made it even more like a black hole.

When I have my own home, I wanna send this video to someone who makes tables and be like “that, I want that, make that!” Because this is such a beautiful table!

Hey guys that was dope! As an autobody painter and fabricator I think its perfect how it is... Even though the plexiglass got warped from the resin, sometimes when doing custom stuff for the first time is when we get ideas that we could not of thought of on our own. Next time you'll have to use actual glass and use the two way mirror film below it. I like it, i'd make the same project for myself if i could.

Can we just appreciate how good Evans paintings are?

Evan needs the silver lipstick when he's an alien. And then the table is seriously a several hundred dollar item.

One of my favorite things I love to do with galaxy paintings is when you do the splattered stars instead of using only silver or one color I layer a mixture of iridescent medium with glow paint to give it a shine and a slight glow. Maybe you guys could give that a try on your next galaxy project. Also still love your channel! Keep it up!

for future reference, when dealing with MDF (or any other absorbent material like EVA foam) do one layer of whatever adhesive you are using as a sealer/primer layer, THEN lay down your adhesive layer

Hi guys. I really enjoy your experiments with resin. My grandmother used resin about 50 yrs ago and made little items like coasters. I've always had the idea that a Headboard made with a wood frame and resin panels would look awesome. The different shapes and designs could be incredible. That warp adds so much more to it, and since light warps around massive objects, it's even better.
