    Caulk does not "stick" to glass cleaner. So if you spray glass cleaner over the caulk you apply, it won't stick to anything you don't want it to when you go to wipe it down. Hope this trick helps you out and thanks for watching!

    1. You scraped the fiberglass with the utility knife. 2. You never caulk the escutcheon to the wall. All caulk will look like crap in time and has to be removed and replaced again and again. 3.Escutcheons are made water tight from underneath. hack

  • @xald1234114

    @xald1234114

    Not fiberglass, it's just plastic. The escuteon may still need external silicone even though it will have to be redone over time because of an uneven surround. That being said you should still always fill behind it as well. Waterproofing comes from layers of water resistance. Also leave the bottom slightly undone on external silicone to allow any stray water to drain inside the boat rather than in your wall

    I Wonder if anyone else has ever heard showers running just after you started your shower, while living in a apartment complex. Has anyone else noticed that even when you close your tub drain and put a drain stopper to keep the water in while you soak your feet, drain is still leaking out water, because I can hear water flowing through the drain even when the water off, and the drain is plugged, and the drain lever is turned to stop, yet water is still going down the tub drain. I noticed that even when I Did this, I noticed that I could hear water draining, even when I closed my drain and placed a drain stopper in my apartment tub it continued to allow water to drain. I live alone and I just wondered why this happens and if anyone else has experienced this problem before. I need to replace my bathroom faucet handles. One was missing the cap and the other one crumbled in my hand the other day. I can't tell my landlady because every time anyone tells her about a repair that needs to be done she raises that person's rent by another $200 per month. So I need to do this myself. the faucet itself is fine and does not leak. I just need to find new handles to replace the old ones. You mentioned finding compatible ones. I can't find a brand name anywhere on them but they seem like common faucet handles, round and plastic. How do I know if it is compatible?

    My tub spout is dripping. It is from the cold water handle which started after my sister took the old handles off to clean them. Should I just try replacing them? They are really old maybe 10-12 years old.

    Why are you caulking the trim? I get the tub spout but wrest of it is doing you no good. When you tighten the valve trim to the fiberglass tub surface it’s a flush finish, at least with delta valves and trim. Maybe caulk a tile showers trim too but not fiberglass.
