we had a pipe leak and I have to replace the subfloor and vanity in my mobile home main bathroom. this is the only video that shows this type of plumbing set up. I appreciate the video because I've never seen this type of plumbing because I've always lived in a traditional house. Thanks for the video I'll let you know how it goes

Thanks for this. Going to attempt this at my mom's. Can you tell me the specific supplies, size, name of pipes you used here? I know 1 is a "p trap"

I’m not able to give a recommendation for your situation as I am not a plumber. You may want to take a picture of your current setup to the hardware store and ask for assistance finding the parts

Could you of measured the floor of the New Vanity and just slip the New vanity over floor pipe, Then you wouldn't of had to cut it? That being said a Great how to video. Thanks.

I’m sure there are multiple ways to accomplish the same goal :). I did see a photo online where a guy cut the bottom of the vanity from the rear all the way to the pipe, but then you’re left with a large hole for things to fall underneath the vanity.

What size of Plywood did you use? I’m trying to upgrade my vanity and I’m not sure what I’m doing 😅 do I have to cut the Black pipe?

3/4 OSB is what matched in our space, plywood is a better wood option though if you want to spend the $$. Regarding the black pipe, if you want a clean hole through the sub-floor and the vanity bottom, you’ll have to cut it. If your new vanity is the exact same size, you potentially could leave the sub floor as is, you could leave the black pipe uncut and just make a slit through the vanity bottom from where the pipe would be to the wall, that would enable you to just slide the vanity bottom around the pipe, but you would then be left with a pipe sized slit in your storage cabinet. Remember, I’m not a professional, I’m just sharing what I did in my space. I’m not familiar with coding regulation in your area, so some of my advice might not work for you.

Ok but I can’t find my turn knobs to shut off the waterlines like you did. Could they be under ground? Or how can I turn my main water line off?

Hello, I have a main water shutoff in my laundry room next to the washing machine, it’s behind a plastic cover that opens, their is a sticker that says main water shutoff; you may want to check if you have one there as well. If you can’t find one there, the only other option I can think of is the main shutoff in the crawl space. Mine is right at the crawl space entrance, right under the laundry room/water heater.

After you shutoff the main line, make sure to turn on the faucets to relieve the pressure before you unscrew any of the water lines.

What did you use to switch from abs to pvc

A product labeled as a transition glue. In your hardware store it should be right next to the pvc glue.

I don't know where you are located, but be careful with air admittance valves. They aren't legal everywhere.

Definitely. In my case, I followed what was already in there from the builder.
