    put vasiline on your face were there is hair (eye brows,eye lashes) and then mix flour and water and use strips of newspaper and put it on your face. that's what we did for school and it worked the same.

    An easier way to protect your face cast would be to use cling film (the plastic stuff). Just make sure your face cast is wet and then apply it and it should stick down right against each crack and crevice on your face cast. The foil would make weird bumps and stuff on the inside of your plaster cast and may even produce sharp points (not a nice thing to put on your face in my opinion). But i do think this is heaps helpful, and i love all your videos Klaire!

    Although you can use flower and water, it’s best not to, any organic compounds will eventually rot, so if you plan on keeping your mask for a wile you may find it growing mold. Using PVA will prevent this.

Is it alright if i don't used that? 4.)Does it gonna work if i used on the whole mask face?

    You can get cheap masks that look like an entire face, and is made from layered newspaper or the like, and use that in place of a face cast. It's what I do, and actually works quite nicely. Just make sure to always put the foil on it or the layers of the mask will peel away with it. (I learned the hard way ^ ^;; )

    I prefer using one layer of gauze, one layer of wet and softened newspaper pages, and then two layers of gauze, and for the glue I use regular wood glue mixed with just a little bit of water, not as much as in the video. The masks end up really sturdy.

    Is this the only way to make a mask? the last time is saw one of these videos (around 3 years ago) I'd thought that the mask would be pretty fragile, being made of paper. Also, I designed a mask of my own, it's relatively simple, but still complex and I want it to fit my face along with having a plastic shine. Any tips?

  • @kadiebella99

    @kadiebella99

    10 жыл бұрын

    Papier-mache is a lot stronger than you'd think, trust me. For a plastic shine, you should be able to use a clear sealing spray paint or something of that sort or a clear nail polish if you only want certain parts that way. And I think it just depends on how complex your design may be. With the fit and design you want, you may need to go with a hot glue mask fabrication because you can do more intricate work and its not quite as stiff as this one.

    I'm Not Okay If it was air dry clay it probably cracked. Happens if it dries out too quickly, try putting a slightly damp paper towel over the piece or making sure that it's not getting hit by any airflow (like an open window, a fan, etc)
