DIY Backyard Wood Swimming Pool
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
We enjoyed making this swimming pool as a family. It makes the hours of work worth it when it's complete and everyone gets to enjoy it.
Here is a link to the tarp that we used for the pool liner.

I suck at cutting notches! You built it similar to what I have in mind. A little deeper.
Where did you buy the tarp? And what kind is it?

Hi there, I am just wondering whether the pool is still up and running? Is there anything you think you can do differently (to make the pool better) please?
How can I do this can you post a list of your materials!
u used 2x6s for sides? where do u put filter??
I was going to make a stock tank pool for the kids, but this looks much better! Great job! Can you provide a material list and plans so I can make one too?

I did cement them in. They are 24 inches deep. Wanted them really strong
This is awesome! Would this method hold together with a 12x12 pool?
@GoodlyEarth
3 жыл бұрын
You would have to put more beams on the side to hold the weight.
Love this, about how much does it cost?
How do you drain it & keep it clean, without a pump & filter system or, a skimmer?

Building a filter and pump for it. :)
Would those joints hold well if I make a square pool? I don't have an area where I can kill grass, we don't own our home. I normally put the pool on our concrete pad. Also, look up diy pool sand filters, I made one for our inflatable pool last year, I used an old cat litter container and sand and had it waterfall into the pool, also had pool tabs in it, lasted all summer. There is a video where I guy makes it to clean the water off the top of his pool cover, then pumps under. That would be a good one for your pool!
@GoodlyEarth

Thank God for a square pool being faster! I suck at cutting angles..lol. I want to build a square pool.
How are you planning on building the pump? We just made our wooden pool as well but we didn’t cut out any holes for the pump. So we’re trying to figure something out for it.

Did you put a pump and filtration system on the pool and what's with the black tarp you use a blue tarp so that the water looks blue now your water looks black and moldy
How do you drain it? Or add a pool pump?
@GoodlyEarth
3 жыл бұрын
I just drained it for the first time in 2 months. The water was doing fine but I want to modify the pump
What about the filter??? Here in France the water is too expensive and we can not change when is dirty

I actually got it at Harbor Freight but I linked a tarp from Amazon that seems a bit thicker
Водоросли будут в складках пленки. Эти водоросли трудно будет отмыть. )))

Hi! Did you have any issues with leaking? We followed the steps, didn’t fill the pool up all the way, but the next morning water leaked out. There aren’t any holes in the tarp. Do you suggest a thicker tarp? Or doubling up on two tarps?

Question will this work like me and my friend build a pool with wood its above ground about 4ft we recently cut the that was inside the pool we are planning to put sand at the bottom and then the liner we have is that the right way to do it?
@GoodlyEarth

Yes, that should work just right
"Tis a fine barn, but sure tis no pool, English" How do you keep that clean? Do you have a pool pump there? I'm guessing that above ground pools for sale already ran out by this time. Right? BTW, I just got my 10 foot BestWay inflatable pool.
